bro,

why torture yourself like this? just ride slowly and safely and always bring raincoat can already mah...

me and my fiancee combined we earn $5K monthly yet based on calculations to support even 10-year-old car also difficult.

Think again bro....your car could very well mean very miserable days ahead...

poot.

need to save in prep for insurance of 2k-3.3k (WOW..........accident claim one time for one person i know went up to 5.5 for his rav4, 3.3 is faintzzz oredi..) + 1000 for road tax +

besides installments, petrol, parking, maintenance.............. aside set 360-500 to save regliously.......

think combined income of 7k per couple is more okay to get a car with enough to save, eat okie and go holiday.................

idea is to bring family go touring in malaysia....but if now plunge into owning car........think need to worry about monthly making ends meet.......no need think of holidays for a long long time to come

...too stress liao...........think better put the efforts into craving out a career and moving upwards the corporate ladder with higher disposable income to enjoy later on would b a wiser idea

give him a break lah guys. its his decision.

but if he wants to back out is there any way? it does sound a bit of a pricey proposition.

but i thought the loan was still under approval? meaning he hasnt bought the car rite? strongly advise against ir... an advise only lor... seen too many bankruptcy cases regarding cars... :giddy:

think you gotta be earning at least 3k above to afford a car, after spend yourself, gf, savings for future wife/house etc, pay parents

got 2 friends around 20 driving also, both suffocating to pay the installments, one driving a corolla another a new sonata, actually it would be better to buy a property instead of a car because as throttle said, depreciation and upkeep, plus so many rubbish, coupons etc but some ppl like the cool look la esp when you drive a bm to zouk, but in the end think if its worth it??

just my 2 cents,
