Hmm i think for S4 should be okay... Not sure but read before dunno is it certain company if the bike above dunno how many cc and you below dunno how old cannot add sub rider. This one i not sure though, you better confirm with the rest.

 

And i think maybe if got subrider, they calculate the premiums according to the youngest rider.

eh, can add lar why not? they just count the premiem for the youngest rider though, i still heard that some allow the calculations for the first rider only.

tat time i quote ntuc,21yrs old,2nd party is ard $890 for a vtec fv plate..if ridding experience more than 2 yrs and the plate is older it sld b cheaper by ard $200..but i heard frm my fren tat ntuc is goin to change it premium at 1st of oct i think..n ntuc is still the cheaper company among all.

if my spec3 is under hire purchase with Mah PL, does anyone know if its a must to go back to dealer to renew insurance? or can i do it on my own?

When u sign the contract, did it state that you have to go back to them to do the insurance? I belive u should have a copy. U don't 1 2 get advise from us and do the wrong thing rite.

 

Just go n refer to ur contract. if it say so, then u will have to. Else u can get it any where. but make sure u get a comprehensive policy if u r still under hire purchase.

any idea how to calculate NCD? i got my 2b since Jul 2003 and got my first bike in sep 2003.

 

according to the insurance agent my NCD is only 10%, is that right? i thought every year 10% increase.

Hi,

 

If under hire purchase need to revert back to the shop. They will do the calculations for you i.e: NCD & stuff. I was in the same boat few weeks back & tried to do a direct insurance purchase. In the end, all the agents say i have to revert back to shop.

every full year of an motor insurance policy will entitle u 10% NCB if there is no claim. So for your case, u got ur bike in sep 03, so by sep 04 when u renew, u'll entitle 10% ncb. n when u renew again at sep 05 u get 20 % ncb.

 

N 20 % is the max for motorcycle insurance.

 

n if u have a clean record in TP for 3 yrs (while owning a vehicle), u will be entitiled to another 5% discount to your insurance.

it couldn't b the case. if motor bike shop, they might be trying to con u. but if u r dealing direct with insurance company, then they will give u the collect discount. maybe some one claimed on ur 1st yr insurance without ur knowledge that's y ur 1st yr no ncb. now 2nd yr then have 10%.

btw to renew my road tax i wld need to go singpost to do it right? together with the insurance paper. can't do it online already as no insurance. correct?

i'm not sure whether singpost can pay or not. but inspection center definitely can pay road tax.

 

But if u r already covered with insurance, u can do it online.

if i knew i guess i wld own a bike shop. but from wht i know mah's pretty honest and when they say they don't charge renewal fees i tend to believe them.

 

at least they did tell me that if i renewed road tax with them, they outfront told me they will charge $5 service charge, so i decided to go to singpost instead.

 

so for me alls well. i just wanna check how come axa is giving me only 10% NCD after 25 mths of riding.

ur 25 month of riding is it on the same bike? If it is not. u might not manage to earn that 10% on ur 1st yr or on ur 2nd yr.

i was 3 mths on 1 bike, 10 mths on 2nd bike and 12 mths on the current one.
