Can i assume that SV 400 can use both H1 and H7...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v703/kazuhikyo/combination1.jpg

The more I ride my SV, the less I care about going to the annual bike show and looking at new,

or expensive, or exotic machinery. I'm continuing to mod my bike into exactly what I want it,

and enjoying every mile I put on it.

The more i see the SV, the more i can't see myself riding s4. Riders with intention to sell please pm me your number? So far viewed one only, trying to get an idea what the engine should sound like.

P-plate should be an attitude to safety and riding. There's always more to learn.

for SV400S, both sides use 12v55w H1 (dont think can use H7):

low beam - only left side on (projector lens)

high beam - both sides on (right side no projector)

for SV650S, should be 12v55w/60w H4 on both sides. No projector lens, both sides on for high and low beam. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Confirm SV4 uses H1 only. Went to check mine yesterday.

There's one SV for sale:

Pplater - It's a nice bike with nice curves and the only bad part is everyone will spot you anywhere, cos it's a rare bike... esp 400cc it's even more rare. Good luck in your quest!

Parenting is OK... but being a good Husband (with reference from Wife point of view)... that's difficult! hahhaha!

Was tempted to do it... but

1. Drilling your pipe, consider Pipe mod... If sound not too loud, OK...

2. If you get too carried away, and drill too many holes...

ROV plate will be hot on your tail... $500 is more than 50% of a new LTA compliant Yoshi, Remus, etc..

I feel like removin the Air Box and installing an Open Pod in the Airbox place... wonder if this will boost the bike up!

i think only one for sale in the market now. Less than 10 left in s'pore according to our estimates, so might be hard to find another one for sale. You can view some of ours though, can join us for one of our meet ups.

SV650S uses 2 H4 bulbs. However, they're the relatively uncommon 40/45 watt type. Don't ask me why. The stock wiring for the headlights can handle the 55/60 watt though. I heard stories of the wiring burning out with high power 100+ watt Osrams.

Voltage does drop/fluctuate a wee bit more (according to my voltmeter) using the latter but I think the alternator/battery can adequately handle the additional current draw. Just don't idle the bike too long.

I think Phillips Vision Plus is a good substitute for stock bulbs. Cheaper and brighter than its whiter cousins like the Diamond Vision. $36 a pair at Autobacs during promotion.

Changing the light bulbs on the SV is simple. Plug and play. Just remember to clean the glass with alcohol before putting it in.

Cheers everybody.

Was at Loois yesterday afternn..

Saw a very well maintained blue SV650. FR plate selling 4.5k.

Everything looking in tip top condition, engine bay look super clean, headers do not have the rusty look!

Everything stock.

Seats all still soft n spongy, no scratches at all.
