Can we revert back to SV650/400S as the topic suggest... ?

 

I have patched up my fairing and for respray... anyone can recommend a good Canned Spray brand (so far Nippon Pylox, was recommended). Will be spraying (as close as possible) the original blue.

 

How about clear lacquer? any recommended brand. DIY Respray should be be less then $50. Estimate @ $10/can 3 Blue + 2 Lacquer (not spraying tank.)

 

Once completed I will update the dairy at forum, see how.

lacquer try using 2K...its the best so far

well the seller should be passing u the yoshi manual and cert... you can tell the model from the manual...

 

just curious... i dont know much abt aftermarket exhausts.

hmm...if spraying one side of the fairing, think might as well send to shop cos if i'm not wrong..shld be slighly more than $50 nia and saves you the trouble..

 

btw, for outing, am unable to make it on Friday..only Saturday nite..so how?

 

Farmmart seems an interesting place.. perhaps we meet again at LAB 2030hrs and from there, i show you all the bike cafe before Mr SV650 leads us to farm mart..like that next time can meet at the cafe instead..more cooler to wait at a bike cafe than the kopi-tiam opposite LAB..

Nope, I am doing the whole of the 3 piece front cowling Face and 2 side panel and the rear seat tail covers... Basically everything except tank will be spray single tone... how much would you think that cost?

 

If in the range of ±$150, I may consider...

 

Farmart will be ghost mart if you go in the evening... maybe the prawn fishing pool will be open the rest will be closed... Nothing much to see anyway

btw, had found out the meeting place i was talking about all this while is actually called "Pitstop Bistro"..located along Kandahar Street.. to go there, gotta go from Kallang Rd/ Lavender Street (x-juntion) > Crawford Street > turn right to North Bridge Road and Kandahar St is the 3rd road on the right.. you guys been there before?

Thought that Farm Mart is a good ghost town for some bikers to hang out for coffee without disturbing others and vice versa. By the way, how much did you pay for your headlight & where did you get it from?

Won't be buying the headlight, 430 freaking $$$ and 3 weeks wait is CRAB!

 

I am thinking of buying chiong NSR SP headlight or similar cheap chiong ones and mod it into my SV. just the reflector and housing will do. Also planning to install a pair of small spot light into the extreme side of the headlight cowl, since SP headlight cannot full occupied the space. use it for flashing and Malaysia night riding. Sweeet! OR I just patch up my reflectors inside and cut away the headlight cover...

 

I have also bought SV head light protector that fit exactly into the SV head cowl. so they will act as my headlight cover. Using silicon, I will permanently fix it to my SV's cowl.

 

Currently still in the mist of sanding my head cowl. everyday wake up 0600hrs and taking bus to Changi from Woodlands and reach home ~1930... really take a tow on my body... no have power to look for spray gun. planning to buy a electrical airless spray gun for the paint job.

 

once complete will do a write up at STR.

Farm Mart seems an interesting place but if it closes at 9:30pm, think it's a bit early for a sat nite hangout leh..perhaps make that for this sunday afternoon for lunch?

that means your headlights will have 'ventura' stencilled at the bottom...
