only abt 7 of us tat are stil young...i.e. 24-28 yrs old...3 girls 4 guys...

 

let me tell u abt the girls....they listen to rock songs, headbang, talk abt soccer, talk a bit abt bikes and are damn fun bunch....i wasnt expecting to see such girls here....but i did

Closeout sales. in USD.

 

A lot of times ang moh countries would have such closeout sales to get ride the previous season stuff.

 

I got my goretex riding jacket from ironpony.com then at around 150 like after dividing the shipping costs. But haven really got the chance to wear……..LOL.

Aiyoo.. dun say like that leh.. I will honestly tell u guys that I'm missing all of your company and touring moments.. So seeing u guys turn up for the matric fair, makes me even appreciate you guys more..

 

For those who didnt turn up, dun worry.. I know you guys are spiritually supportive and wishing the best for the matric fair, and so I still extend my thanks..

Anyway, today marks the end of the Matriculation Fair 2009!!

 

Statistics for the Fair

Freshies that signed up: 42

Freshies that have bikes: 18

 

Thats roughly about 42% of new entries with bikes in the list.

Some of the rides include Phantoms, SPs, a yamaha R125, and a CBR600.

 

The rest of the entries (about 58%) are people who are:

1) taking their license.

2) had their license but no bike.

3) no license and no bike but interested to join.

 

First of all, my utmost gratitude to these people,

Hafiz: For staying with me to prep up the A3 posters, videos, and stuff preparation.

Isaac: For contributing Sammy boy (Track Suit, Boots, Gloves) + preparation day.

Hongwei: For contributing his beloved R6 to the booth for 6 days straight.

 

Secondly, I would like to thank everyone who turned up for the booth manning, esp

hafiz, isaac, haikal, wadi and xianyu for their efforts to spend time recruiting members,

when they can be outside enjoying their day. :D I'd really appreciate your efforts!

 

Thirdly, Complimentary mention to those who drop by: Hongwei, Charlyn, Stan, Phyo,

Yuwen, Shafi, Ana, Sihao, Jordan. Thanks for showing support for the booth!

 

Fourthly, I was conversing with wadi about how to get sponsors from bikeshops for our

booth expense, while having more coupons, discounts from them..

 

And also, another idea I thought would be useful would be to actually get brochures from

BBDC, SDC, CDC since there's ton loads of freshies that keep saying, "Do I need a license

to enter?" and "I interested to take a license".. and maybe get them to sponsor / fund our booth next year..

 

Well, these are just some things wish i think might be good to have.. Do leave ur comments.

 

Lastly, , Now that the Matriculation Fair is over, we shall continue to plan for the semester's program and

Orientation Ride! Be sure to mark your calendar this day guys!! Lets begin the new semester with a bang!

 

Next up: 14th August 2009, Friday, 6PM SRC Carpark

Hi Glazco, as students, its hard to coordinate meetups session when lectures, tutorials, and project commitments are due.. However, we do try to meetup occasionally, like weekly or maybe once a fortnight.. Usually, we'll plan for a short trip overseas in the study break and the Long holidays!! So do stay tuned for that..

 

Outings planned are announced mainly thru sms or forum posting, impromtu lunch/dinner meetups or JB makan/ pum petrol sessions..

 

So do visit here often and get to know the frenly guys here!! :thumb:
