Er cos I heard of a few cases of female riders getting harrassed at the traffic junction. Like make funny noise or rev very loud to encourage to race. I think. You all no need to go school ar why reply so fast one..

and u just need to stop either beside the curb or if u muz beside a bus and just lean e bike on the bus! haha..

 

latter option not advised...tsk tsk

 

actually i've seen 2 cases of females riding ktm200.. stop at traffic light and cant reach the floor so they juz rest their feet on the neighbouring sedan's tyres.. haven seen them get scolded before though.. maybe its cause they're females..

my advice is never use gear 1 for enginer braking..will cause ur rear tyres to lock and if u're not careful can just lead u to kiss e holy tarmac..

 

and if u're riding fast and u suddenly kick down to gear one...hold on to that mother foocking bike and pray u can hang on to e crazy wobbling machine.. haha

 

anws..its always easier to kick into neutral from e 2nd gear....

Haha. I get the idea. And I fail my pract 4, because of my emergency brake. :( and my rtt is at 30april. I was intending to finish all my practs by April. :( uh and you know I'm girl and I'm inexperienced so I feel that I'll get cheated easily. So I've a big favour to ask and that is would anybody here be willing to go bike shopping with me when the time comes. And pump petrol. Repairs and maintainence. All that. It's okay if I must pay a fee.

 

why are u thinking so much when u haven got ur license... lol.. confirm got someone will go with you.. i promise.. i vote wadi to be ur companion.. Lol..

Sorry but can I ask you all something. I'm in the midst of getting 2B license and I'm unsure of the procedure of downshifting gears. As in, I know how to downshift but when you are slowing down/stopping, do you like look at the speedometer and shift like when it's 40kph then shift to gear 4, 30kph then shift to gear 3, and so on. Or you 1 shot shift all the way down from the highest gear (or whatever gear you're at) when you're stopping? And how about during emergency brake? Hope what I typed is understandable. :/

if u clutch in and brake totally then u will be able to shift down your gears all at one go.. if not.. juz down it one by one.. and judging from the amount of effective engine brake u're getting you'll know whether to down one more to get more braking.. or u can go by sound of engine revs.

 

 

DO NOT EVER LOOK AT YOUR SPEEDOMETER WHEN U'RE BRAKING.. you shouldnt when u're riding as well.. unless....

nope your brake wont spoilt.. but ur clutch plates and dog teeths might..

So good lor envy all of you already riding.. Maybe I shouldn't take sports bike for 2B.. But the cbf150 so ex one all 3k 4k. Do you guys have driving license as well?

 

Hey, I'm a CBF rider. It's a decent bike, with good mileage and rather bullet proof. The only downside, I feel, is the bike cannot speed. 100km/h and the engine screams.

 

Nonetheless, going at 80km/h for everyday riding is good. ((=

 

It is quite ex, coz for myself I'm paying close to 8k. Including insurance and COE. I got my bike in 2008, insurance was $1030 coz I was 19 when I got the bike. And I didn't wait to bid for the COE, and that time the COE was $1500.

 

Do check out all these, but all in all a 2nd hand CBF150 would be a good decent ride. :cheeky:

dont worry about learning everything, really. you will probably just be more confused. all this can wait. enjoy your bike lessons, you wont get another chance to do it over (unless..you know what...but dont say just in case cursed hahah).

 

when i was taking 2B i really had fun and enjoyed all the lessons without a worry in the world. thats what riding is about. enjoying the freedom, the wind in your face and the control. dont let these things weigh you down so soon!! where's all the fun in that!! :)
