a little off topic from what we are discussing here...

jus received a saddening news from a fren of mine...

a fellow nus rider jus passed away last night. he is a yr2 bizad student, not too sure if he is active in nusriders forum or here... let all of us here be reminded to ride safely... may his soul rest in peace.

Hi NRC Members!

 

NRC is proud to present our annual NRC Chalet 2007! Come down and join us for a day of FUN at Down Town East! We will be celebrating the school holidays and CNY with chalet, games, prizes, and BBQ! And if that is not enough for you, we will also be having a ride up to Kukup Malaysia the very next day!

 

Details are as below:

Date: 28/02/07 (Wednesday)

Time: 4.00pm

Meeting place: Costa Sands Pasir Ris Car Park

Things to bring: Swimming trunks, towel, Simple toiletries.

Ticket Price: FREE!!! for NRC Members. $5 if you bring a friend

(includes chalet, BBQ(Halal), yu sheng, and lucky draw prizes!)

 

 

DAY 1 : Chalet Itenary

 

4.00pm Arrive at Chalet

4.15pm Games starts

6.15pm Lucky Draw - Big Prizes to be won!

7.00pm BBQ starts

11.00pm Sleep Over at Chalet!

DAY 2 : TRIP TO KUKUP ITENARY

 

1000h Depart from Chalet

1100h Arrive at Tuas Checkpoint

Pre-trip briefing at Esso station

1130h Head for Gelang Patah

1200h Head for Pekan Nanas

1300h Arrive at Kukup Village and debriefing

1320h Seafood lunch

1430h Gathering by the beach (Short ride north)

1600h Departure from Kukup Head for Pekan Nanas

1700h Head for Gelang Patah

1730h Arrive Tuas Checkpoint

1800h Back in Singapore

 

"Kukup, near the south-western tip of the peninsula, 80km from

Singapore, is a well-known fishing village with most of its houses built on stilts. It is famous for its fish farms and several restaurants, which serve the freshest seafood dishes. Kukup is a gastronmical delight and the view of sea is magnificent as there are no islands between you and Indonesia!

 

The ride down will definitely be a glimpse into the cooling and beautiful ride on Malaysia’s primal roads running in between sparse roadside kampongs and dense vegetation. For those who had been only in Singapore or just the North-South highway in Malaysia, this will entice you and reinforce why bikers still ride when they can afford a car. Words just do not justify the physical experience.

 

NRC is proud to bring you this glimpse into the joy of riding through rural Malaysia and a satisfying meal to top it off. You might enjoy the beach too if you’re up for swimming too, or just chill in the humid cool wind that will distress you for sure.

 

For those who do not have bikes but wish to join us for the ride, kindly let us know as we can arrange for you to be our pillion!

 

The ride will be well organized, easy and relaxed as it is aimed for beginners. There will be a lot of small bikes, so no worries for our 2B riders!

haha i think maybe its me? nvr see another girl with white/blue kips in sch b4..ehhh but my blue not very light leh ahhaha...
