today i made a river crossing like i was riding a dual purpose bike... The only thing was this river crossing was on a filter lane :giddy:

Isaac, waterproof shoes are good at about $200. I bought mine at Chiap Lee for $170 and wear them on most days. In this rainy week i am thankful for them because i get to keep my feet dry everyday for the past week despite averaging some 500km per week riding to school everyday and to many tuition lessons. I do not remember which day was the last I rode without a rain coat on. But along with this i also forgot when did i last ride with my feet wet, or myself wet for the matter.

Trust me when i say they are a worthy investment... U will only be happier with a pair than without. Considering u spend so much on mods, isn't a pair of good riding shoes suitable for daily wear something u should own?

Motorworld at Kaki Bukit will have a good range of riding shoes. Those armoured ones with sliders are more for track riding/touring, they are rather hard to provide crush protection and is not as comfortable for wearing daily. The pair i wear frequently looks like regular hiking shoes, only there is an inner goretex layer sewn under the leather that keeps the water out. If one does not look at the tiny extra piece of abrasion resistant material at the part of the shoes that always tears due to gear shifts, it looks just like regular high cut basketball or hiking shoes. Sports bike riders looking for this better get as high cut as possible, especially on the heels due to the rain coat being pulled upwards your calves when ur knees are bent, allowing rain water to seep in sometimes. A good pair at about $200 can last a couple years i heard. I've tried the shoe cover thing. They are cheap and effective. If u have a box to store them all is well and good, just the extra trouble gearing on and off. A matter of preferences.
