i feel that there is no one bike shop that does everything the way a customer or even duke rider wants...

 

FYI..from my fren who ride fazer...the FI model had a bad accident and got it done by r*c*w*rkz and apparently they did a not so good job...wiring was a mess and not in proper place...I got to speak to the mech who did the bike after R*c*w*rkz. Mech didnt know who did it. So I asked my fren who did his bike. So doubt its bias...

 

Randy can u find out the steps or techics behind ur ops of the exhaust, let me know, I have a feeling i can get a guy who can do it at a lower price...and wanna get people who are int here to join me.

 

Tabako I totally know wat u mean....his quick fix gets me quick agitated...i prefer a mech who can diagnose the problem and share with me...I found someone...His price is ok but u need to get parts to him...after with this fellow my bike has not breakdown for already quite sometime. which prevs even with mike, its breaksdown 1 every 1 wk or 2 wks.

 

Vince - m*k* is a nice person to talk to and his rep has surpass him. apparently he was better. My fren's vintage bike was screwed by him. Guess his interest in fixing bikes is somewhat questionable...

 

I dont expect a mech to be superb forever...interest in the bike or $$$ has alot to do with their performance.

Anyone got any comments regarding the Ducati Dealer service workshop. I did my servicing there. I don't feel they are very friendly as they are too busy as what I can see. However, they fixed somehting about my bike for free(no changing of parts required), which was quite impressive to me as they usually charge you labour cost by minutes.

 

Any comments?

They fixed my speedo meter. Took about 15mins. So i really appreciate it...... But they did that after I paid $350 for other services. Only the engine oil change costed me 75 or 90 dollars.

He called to "tell" me that his friend seek clarifications about my pipe and whether he did sell my pipe or not? I don't know what he told his friend, but the truth of the matter is he did sold my pipes away, without my permission.

 

After I got my pipe, the silencers were missing, so I sms randy to ask if he saw it? He said it was still with him and he will pass it to me some day. Randy is a nice guy and he is an innocent guy who just happened to buy something from Mike. So it is proven beyond reasonable doubt that he did buy the exact same pipes that I have from Mike.

 

Mike also conveniently "warned" me that his ROV and TP friends are looking out for my orange ducati monster and will catch me if they saw me.

 

I am very threaten by what he said. I seriously am fearing for my safety and my bike now. If what Mike say is true, then ROV and TP that are his friends are abusing their powers and out to get me.

 

I am thinking about making an official police report just in case something happens to me and I have something to prove that I am a victim of his connections.

 

Guys should I go make the police report?

Relax tabako. Its not like you went and committed a major crime. ROV and Police are riders too. If you start getting worried over something that may not even significant how do you enjoy riding?. PS you coming to the Ducatian meeting tomorrow?

If it is indeed true, then how do I protect myself against rogue government officials? the only way I can think of now is to make a police report so that if anything happen to me or my bike, I can make an official inquiry to the CPIB.

So please tell Mike that to call me to say that he is only joking and dun mean it and want to forget about it just like me. If not I also dunno what else to do. Update on my pipe project.. well its not collected yet as I'm too busy at wk with some colleague taking leave this and that so have to work for longer hours.. next week perhaps friday or sat will collect it and at the same time will carbon wrap the exhaust (high temp carbon sticker) to give it a better look..!!! Bro tabako, first and foremost, mike isnt even my friend. He's just someone I go to get my bike fixed. So far thats been just twice as Im a new ducatian. Guess wat..!! My exhaust thingy project is not gonna continue due to some reasons.. and GOOD NEWS for all Monster 400cc Riders..!! There's a legal aftermarket exhaust...!! High mount and low mount..!! Yes!!! after much searching I finally found a shop who have it..!! Exhaust brand.. MIVV Check out this site.. http://www.mivv.it The singapore shop that import this street legal exhaust is Adventure On Wheels located at Jurong west..!! For Ducati Monster 400cc a pair of carbon high mount is $1990.. Carbon low mount is $1790.. price inclu installation. Many bikes like R6, R1... ect already have it and its approved by LTA. Currently I'm the only one to enquire abt the exhaust for Ducati.. He said its sure to approve if not he will full refund the amount back..!! He also ask me to ask u guys if anybody wants to order and he will bring down the price.. It takes 2 months for shipment and $500 deposit and the rest after installation.. Cool...!! His number is 96948025 and wed site is http://www.adventureonwheels-sg.com feel free to call him for any enquires.. If anybody decide to order pls also call me @ 90710855 and I'll try to ask him to bring the $$ as low as possible as u know $$ is always an issue the cheaper the better right...!! Indeed the $$$ is a bit steep thats y I'm asking around if anybody wants to order and the shop could bring down the price which he promise if I manage to gether more orders.. Well as for Monster 400cc there's not much choices out there in Singapore unless u wanna order Termis which cost $2500 for exhaust only available at Ducati Singapore which is too ex...!!! This exhaust that I found is another cheaper option and it has high and low mount..!!
