Go to raymond or mike or raceworks. Tune carb. Change exhaust. Aftermarket pegs that fit r1 will fit your monster too. Add bling. Good luck.

Guys, any of you know of workshop that I can trust to service my monster696... normal kinda interval servicing.

 

I don't really want to go back to dealer cos I can't agree with the idea of $60 an hour service fee. Don't get me wrong, they do offer good services but I just don't felt it's fair if I've brought the bike from them and still gets charge an hourly service fee, that have to stop.

 

In any case I heard Kallang Cycle service Ducatis so I'll gonna give it a try, just want to know if there are more workshops for Ducati and how you guys felt about them. Please share...

 

if its straight forward servicing, I suggest DIY.

 

how many workshops will carefully line your engine and surrounding parts before working on your bike? or wait till the last drop out b4 putting in new engine oil?

 

most of the time, ppl end up waiting for their bikes while its being worked on, might as well work on it yourself and get some satisfaction for free right?

the new monster 1100 only cost AUD $ 18495 gives you a good idea what is the profit margin they get in singapore.

Just got my oil changed at KC, mike's very nice, very willing to share. First thing he saw my bike he said "wah you never wash bike one arr?"

 

Yah maybe next time I'll learn how to change oil from you guys. How you guys dump the old oil?

 

I won't be able to make it this weekend, maybe next meet up i'll join you guys.

The labour fee really depends on the type of job done to your bike. HOnestly if its a regular service like oil change, the whole thing will cost u less than a hundred bucks. 3 bottles of oil, an oil filter etc.. And the guys at minerva are not always so hard up on the labour charges, they charge what is due. not really insane prices. stick around have a chat and get the bike done well (:

 

As for full service ie valve clearances, fork servicing etc, i would highly recommend going back to the agent even more so that your 696 is an injected model. just my thoughts

been diy since i got my 1st bike eons ago.its been a fun and sometimes a nightmare expireince.And most of the time i come out satisfied and wiser.get yourself maintainence book jus to have knowledge of when they are doing at least.

i feel that i always need to hurry and get out of there as fast as i can....clock is ticking.

 

yes 10k is really important especially for a new bike like 696.

Gotta add some taxes on top of that price. Check out the thread on the BMW F800GS.

 

One thing about Aussie bike market is, 2nd hand bikes keep their value very very well, depreciating like only 50% even after 7 years.
