Pipes sold...!!! :thumb:

Wow, that's fast. Didn't even get a chance to consider and they're already gone haha. Anyway I would want to wait till after inspection in sept before changing exhaust, unless they're street legal exhausts which I believe only GPR have them? Anyone looking to sell off low mount carbon GPRs at the end of the year? Haha

I too have the same addiction, to riding and eating in Malaysia. So to cure it, i travel to JB for ramli burger and hopefully A&W instead of the one at Malacca.

When it comes to bikes, I only see red…

Oil change every 5000km, Oil filter 10k km Use semi syn oil can already @ $65 inc labour.

Spark plugs $16 for 2 good ones (only need 2)

Normal tires $280-350 last how long depends on what you do to it.

Engine valve clearance $200-$400 depends on what you do and how long. This is the full service every 20k km.

Air filter go wash it yourself free.

Simple bike can be taken care of with simple budget. If you neglect the basics, it will haunt you with expensive repairs.

Still, set aside some money for contingency like rectifier break down, starter motor spoil, lights dun work, etc. You are buying a COE bike, dun expect it to perform like super 4 Spec 3. If you want bike with no problems, buy a brand new bike.

When it comes to bikes, I only see red…

i wont say tat they are hard to maintain or expensive. just not easy and cheap. the machines do have souls. you have to feel your machine. there are bikes out there without a single problem. there are others that take it as just a work horse. remember, this is not a japanese bike. 1 prob will lead to another if it is not quickly fixed.

advise, feel the bike, and you will be able to predict the problems and end up spending less.

ps: just a gauge for you, most of us have already spent over 5 digits on our rides.

Most COE bikes have not even gone 80000km. No difference if it is 10 yr old or 5 yr old. It is the milage for the mechanicals. For the electrics, rubber wires sometimes melt/fuse or less waterproof for COE bikes.

I think Ismail meant 10K km valve clearance check, 20K km valve clearance adjustments. 10K km usually no problems, that will take 10months or 6 months depending on how often you ride. Belt change at 20K km i think.

My 60K km major service coming up for big bike. Expected to cost $700 +-. I update again 2 weeks later.

When it comes to bikes, I only see red…
