Sigh, ... Neo sold his bike, Sols' soul (get it?) belongs to the SAF .... hope the guys who bought Monsters recently will surface. also hope that Neo will continue to share his experience and expertise for our benefit.

Anyway, got my Ducati Performance Air-Filter from Minerva .... will try it out and let you guys know how it feels.

On a separate note, a friend of mine took his duke to JB, and when he returned, it was in a drain! So all you guys riding into JB, do take care where you park. BTW, my fren pushed his bike all the way back to the causeway.

Cheers

Cat

... what you looking at? Never seen a cow that wants to go places ????! ...

Hi all, I used to be a phantom rider but now i have a yellow duke with carbon termis. it is my 4th day riding it and something bad happened.

1. my key broke in the ignition and at first i could not turn off the bike but with the help of a screwdriver i managed to do it. Luckily i bought a disc brake lock at regina yesterday so now no one can just drive it away.

2. my rear cover flew off but luckily landed in a grass patch. some scratches but at least found and in one piece.

too much to take for one night. any bike shop can take the key out? or must i go to lock smith better? any shops out there open on sun?

thanks

Yes, my bike is sold, riding a normal japanese street bike now, and I really miss my Monster :weep:

The handling, feel, sound, its just worlds apart, even though this street bike is more powerful, the Monster is just much more of a joy to ride. I'll definately get a Monster in future, but for now, gotta save $.

easy2findme : My rear cover flew off too, shortly after I gotten my bike, because the screw vibrated loose. I don't think you'll be using that cover anytime soon anyway right? Your girl wouldn't like sitting on plastic :thumb:

Hope the bike is running fine!

my termis are not new. came with my fq yellow monster when i bought over the bike. the previous owner gave me the stock pipes too.

and to neo: thanks for all your technical advice on maintanence of this bike you posted. the oil cooler mod you did cost $180 right? does it include the oil tubes and labour and where did you do that? does it mean we have to put in more engine oil due to the mod?

When it comes to bikes, I only see red…

Ducatis don't like overfilling of engine oils, tend to blow oil seals, so I recommend topping up the exact recommended amount.

The oil cooler costs me $120 (2nd hand Kawasaki oil cooler), and the oil lines $80, fabricated at a hydraulic lines shop in Ubi. A brand new Ducati oil cooler kit will cost about $300 plus.

I dunno about the M9, but from my experience with the M4, I think the M9 would be a really fun street bike, and the occasional blast down the NSH for dinner, some trackdays, no problems at all. :thumb:

Best of all, you get people asking you about your Cagiva Planet having twin brake discs, and more informed people asking you why your Monster 400 goes so fast :D

Buzz > You're evil, tempting me! Argh... :sian:

HI guys! My reserve light comes on at ard 245km. How far more can i go before i have to push my bike. After topping up ard $20 of petrol, i worked out my fuel economy at ard 20km/l. It is low right? But i cannot help myself accelerating fast :cheeky:

Recently coming back from JB at the SG custom, i off the engine n pushed my bike to the police for inspection. The 2 policemen did not find fault with me but commented to each other abt my bike. " Orrhh Cagiva Monster 125"

This can mean that for a litre class bike, M9 is consider very small n maneuverable. Very good pull from low rpm but it will top up at abt 210km/h. If top end pull is ur cuppa tea then the monster S4 shd make it. Frame of the M4 n M9 is the same! but X2 the power^^. Heard from mech that the M9 n M4 maintainance is the same but even less problematic. GOGOGO get more monsters n meet for a cuppa tea ^^

I have this fren that recently brought a M9 n intend to fit in 916 termi exhuast system...shd be cool ^^ :thumb:

btw i am changing the colour of the trellis frame.....my tank is red. Any positive input on the colour??? headache.......
