Anyway, due to the street biased design of the Monster, the riding position is not very 160km/h friendly. I find the max I can tahan is 120 constant, with or without pillion, otherwise I tire very easily.

 

And 120 on the Monster is like 130+ on most other bikes I ride with, wierd...

LOL welcome to anti minerva club hahaha, n i might get along very well with u man! Theres a shop just behind minerva called kallang cycle, n seems like u had found out one of the reason y there are so many ducati in it(KC). The old geezer in that shop is michael n i think he can solve any problems on ur bike.....sort of. No worries after u see the amount of ducati in the shop n afterall he was minerva chief mech.

.........u can c my bike in there for a week more too......will be going down often nowadys n hope to c u there lol

Yeah! I visited old geezer (Mike) about 3 times and we have get along quite well too. He have done a good gob on my bike. But since he is too occupied with tuning and repair, he'll not be able to do what I wanted.

 

I saw a couple of red color ducati there and I think it's ready for collection.

Initially i had bad xp with a person there who say this to a very enthu n new to monster 400 ' aiyah m4 nothing much to play one lah, come back on a m9'

 

Btw, changing the colour of the trellis frame cost $500 onli? cos i had asked ard n was quoted 1k+ cos of the stripping of the whole bike.......

 

My bike was was in on tue on i dropped by today to c her disenbowel....to my disappointment....shes still in one piece...

btw i chatted with this very nice man which stayed at ermm....the condo that SOLS is staying. When i saw him he was riding a DR but he is also the owner of the 916 exhaust with single swing arm monster 900!! With all the racy equipment too at mikes shop. Very special M9! Sols!! saw any uncle riding DR in ur condo?? His name is Daniel btw lol :thumb:

Generally speaking, Agent workshops do authorized maintenance work on the bike, which unfortunately for this particular case, does not include the respraying of the trellis frame.

 

Most of these jobs (spraying of frame, airbrush, spray rims) need to be subcontracted out to independent operators.

 

So, while I wouldn't say that their attitude is the best around town, different workshops and mechanics cater for different needs. Go to an agent workshop (or quasi agent workship like KC) for your 10k servicings, go to other workshops for aftermarket work.

 

Anyway, there will always be prima donna mechs around town... and unfortunately these are usually the mechs that you can trust to work on bikes that are more complex than a CB400 or NSR150. The woes of biking in Singapore =)
