Had made an arrangement to deal a used termis. Dont want to mention his name. I nvr bargain, hence agreed with the price he's asking.

When comes the day to collect, somehow the seller sold off to other buyer who offer higher $ than me. ****ed up bugger. Cannot make his mind on pricing. Now im pissed off. Zzzz. He should at least ask me 1st.

Im still looking for a slip on or full termis for M796. Hope can find a sincere n steady seller with steady price. U sell i buy. Not happy with price, we can talk.

God bless us!

Hi anyone has experience buying ducati from looi's before? Besides the shorter warranty period (1 year instead of 2 years from ducati agent), are there any other things I should consider?

The price of a 796 with abs is only 23k, compared to 27k for the agent. Its like getting a 796 for the price of 696! Would love to hear from you guys, before I make my decision.

Was deciding between the 696 and the street triple, but then came across the 796 at looi's. Man its really tough making a decision among those bikes.

Thanks @IceZ for the info.. I just can't wait to collect my Monster and have the V35 install.. Fingers-crossed that it's possible.. As for now, I must do some research on which shop I can request to fabricate a rack for it..

Hey @IceZ, thanks for the info.. Anyway, I think I have to look for alternative shocks first.. I'm not sure if it's common for Monsters to bottoming on humps when carrying pillion.. Went to JB recently with pillion, and my headers hit every hump available at both SG and JB customs.. Heartache man..

Hi Ardian, is your fork adjusted to the max height? If so..try to harden your rear suspension by adjusting it. This may helps a little. :)

maybe someone else whom has had a 400cc jap bike would be able to comment. But i can say that the m400 service intervals is 10kkm and valve clearance is done every 20kkm. On average i would say it would cost roughly 800 excluding misc parts like brake pads and tires every 20kkm to maintain a m400. (inclusive of 10kkm servicing) This would also exclude replacement of faulty parts.

Disclaimer: the above figures are only an estimate as i generally do not keep track.

As indicated in the ducati riders group thread, most recent 24kkm servicing cost for 1098 is between 1.2k to 1.4k inclusive of misc. What they change in regards to misc is subjective as its not clearly indicated.

Do not get the wrong impression that i'm trying to give u a run abt answer. Just trying to answer you to the best of my knowledge. As mention, maybe someone whom has owned a 400cc jap bike may shine some light on this topic.

Hi @dodobird, is it true that the M400 service intervals is at every 10Kkm instead of 5Kkm and valve clearance is every 20Kkm instead of 10Kkm..? Thanks, appreciate your help..
