Mine's a 696 but I guess is about the same. For your ref:

1) joyride

2) never monitor but prob quite crappy

3) maintanence is high prob at dealer. Other places like planet motors charge very decent prices

4) never done touring yet but shouldn't be an issue. I have Vespa friends who ride up to Thailand. But don't expect same plush rides like the proper tourers

5) likely more expensive than jap bikes due to economies of scale. No. of jap bikes are higher thus making the availability of parts easier to obtain

6) my other ride is a Vespa ridden daily for the past 18 years

7) makes all the questions that you posted totally irrelevant now doesn't it? :D

:D Thanks bro for the feedback! :D muahahahaha.

I would encourage for a ducati to be serviced by a ducati trained mechanic. Does not need to be minerva per say.

Most generic mechanics do not have the proper tools or skillsets. Eg would be whether they have the tools to tune the belts to 140hz, turn the crank to top dead centre, or have the proper tools to change shims and measuring with filler gauges.

Agree. Bike harbor does Ducati exclusively. Good place to go too.

Greetings fellow Ducatistis,

After much thought, I am putting up my 2010 Monster 1100 w/ ABS for sale. Reason why I'm selling is because I don't have the time to ride anymore with my busy work schedule and I rather a fellow Ducatisti ride it in her full glory.

It is kept in a sheltered carpark and I do not ride in the rain. I also only ride during weekends as a means of pleasure and not a mode of transport. As a result, the bike has an incredible low mileage of 3000

The bike is also washed and waxed weekly on my own and is taken care of mechanically as well.

List of modifications (who leaves a Duc stock?):

1. Termignoni CF end cans accompanied by air filter and DP ECU

2. Rizoma rear sets

3. Speedymoto Shinobi pressure plate with Speedymoto clutch cover

4. DP CF fuel tank cover, vertical strip & front fender

5. Touring seat with red stitching (better for your lil bro)

6. Brembo RCS19 master brake pump

7. CRG clutch lever with 5 adjustable biting points

8. Carbonvani CF rear cowl

9. DP short tail licence plate holder

10. CRG bar end mirrors

11. DP led signal lights (front and rear)

12. Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa

13. ASV brake and clutch levers

I'm asking for $24,000 firm. I consider this to be reasonable with the current COE, list of expensive addons listed, pristine conditionand very low mileage.

Enough of talk, here are some pics:

Those who are seriously interested can contact me at my mobile (9847 7595) for viewing. The bike must be seen in person to believe its condition.

Cheers,

Desmond

Have a set of stock monster mirrors to clear (and one misfit to give away).

Last checked monster mirrors are going for $140+ each.

I've just changed my mirrors and have no use for the stock mirrors now. Might have some monster riders out there who are looking to replace their stock mirrors due to age, damage, or just wanting to go back to stock for whatever reasons. Asking for $140 for a pair.

One misfit left mirror only to give away. Don't know what brand, but condition is good. Someone out there might have a matching right side. If you have it, show me and i will be happy to give this away to make a set. :)

Apologies for posting here since i don't have enough post counts to post on the garage thread. But i figured since it's monster mirrors, it should also be rather applicable here.

how about shops instead?

Sorry shops IDK maybe others can help. However being a new owner of one, i would suggest you check the condition of the most expensive or hard to find parts first before buying (carb, wire harness, shocks). I bought the M400 on the 31st July and i'm only about to collect it from the workshop this friday.

Any of u got ur monster from loois motor? Where did u guys buy yours?

Intending to buy 796. Can anyone enlighten me about full tank mileage if normal riding? From what i saw only. FC of monster is not bad at all! ;)

Due to some personal n warranty reasons, i took mine from minerva.

Normally who owns a duc dont bother the full tank mileage. By the way for my 796 normally i get around 220-230km before reserve. Dude, read the whole thread. You will get more answer from there.

Good luck!

No tune, no life. -JM
