Which class 2 bike should i buy?

Hi all. I am considering of buying a class 2 sportsbike. I wanna use it for touring and track. Which bike should I get? Btw, i've never been on track.

You say no budget, then buy one tourer and one sportsbike.

If you want something in the middle, get a Busa or ZX-14, it excels neither in touring nor track though.

why is MV Agusta in that mix if you're asking about low and easy maintenance?

 

it is also clear to me that what you want is a sportsbike to go track, that you can also bring up north for low-level touring.

 

but the fact that your last post you mention brand but not model suggests you still have no clue wat you want.

 

tell you what bro, do yourself a favour and go read internet reviews of various 600cc and 1000cc sportsbikes. better from online mags rather than owner reviews.

 

then pick one. whichever you feel is 'best' from your reading. any of these sportsbikes tour more or less equally badly, so forget the touring performance, just go tour on the sportsbike and live with the discomfort. focus on everyday riding and track.

 

next, buy the gear. minimum track gear allowed on PG is full-face, full finger gloves, armored jacket, jeans and boots. that is minimum. buy the most you can with the money you have. Full leathers; if not then 2-piece armored textile jacket and pants with proper riding gloves and boots with protectors.

 

then, after the bike is run in, fit road/track spec tires like Pirelli Diablo Corsa or Metzeler M5 or BT-003RS. research yourself the different tires and check exactly what kind is currently on your bike. Pure road tires like Pirelli Diablo Rosso or BT-016 technically can go on track, but not recommended due to poor heat cycles for track. as a newbie you will NOT need pure track tires (in future when your skills improve maybe), and also do NOT use touring or sport touring tires for track.

 

finally, meet up with people in this forum who go track, and ask if you can follow. if you already have friends who track, better still follow them. you just need experienced people to show you what goes on.

Above all it is what you ride tt makes you feel good. Not others. People can so much as disagree with your choice, but you are the one riding it and feeling happy. Of course research too is equally important. We want happy bikers. Not those who will kick their ride just cos it dont go your way.

Yamaha, Honda, Triumph and MV Agusta are not budgets, they are bike marques. Top of the line MV agusta is 50+ k, even their cheapest bike isn't exactly cheap for its range and their spares take forever to come, reviews for the bike aren't that great, might as well get a Panigale.

 

If you're talking class 2 bike that you're gonna use like the S4, Spark or any other day to day bike, its not going to be cheap nor easy maintenance, not even for the cheapest class 2 bike, especially not if its a sports bike and even more so if its the MV Agusta.

 

I'll be damned if you actually used an F4RR for everyday use.

best it to get a small 2b bike for transport and use the class 2 for your leisure outings or trips
