Go borrow somw Dog training n handling books frm the libary they r very useful i trained my sheltie frm the books n it wrk very well but u'll have to follow the instructions very closely to achieve the required results like

* sit

*stay

*stop

*down

*No Barking

*Bad Boy

*Go Home

*toilet(the place where he rests at nite) HeeHee

*balcony

recogonised the name of my 2 kids when i called out it will go to their rooms n bark at them till they follow him

got my dog at 8 mths old they said it's kindda old liao to train him but i succedded but it's hard wrk for both man n dog, i used the praise,reward(food) and punishment way(rolled up newpaper to whack) it will spread out the impact wun injured the skin like a cane wld if hit too hard(accidentally)

training has to be repeating even after it has learn if not used that command for a long time they will 4get frm there u can move on to hand signals which i am doing now...... my dog is 4 yrs old now good luck it's cheapest way to train n u get lotssa satisfactions in it but again if u have the patient took me 2 over years but done slowly not intensive

u wan fast result send to obedient sch can cost abt 1K but well trained still u have to be there at certain times n follow up after their trainingbut very effective Good Luck Have fun wif ur DOG ........... n friend.....

There are people who are like that.

My cat will quietly crouch outside looking for lizards, most neighbours will just walk over her if she is blocking their path.

 

Got one guy will just kick her out of his path. After this incidence, my cat has got her early warning system in place whenever that neighbour is coming through.

 

There are people who will kick dogs and cats whenever they blocked their way. There are some who will crush on cockroaches or other insects.

 

Well for me, I will not do such things unless provoked.

MC21 maybe u can use a electircal choke chain on ur dog for awhile when he keep on barkin alot juz press the remote n there r 2 pellets that will shoot up inside the choke n nudge his throat then he will be irrittated or shocked n will shut up. try using tis for awhile then take the choke off when everytime he c u holding the remote he will knoe wat tat means n stop barking liao. tis method works for my frens dog. but i dun like the method of using choke chains 2 train dogs tink its abit 2 harsh i train my dogs using rewards system try not 2 beat ur dogs with ur hands they will be scared of u next time even if u sayang them cause they reconigse ur hands as tins that can hit them use newspapers(rolled up) or slippers instead. yah Pauche i also wan bring my dog go petmovers but no transpot leh ... hai~~~~~ maybe we start a list of wat dogs we hav n our contact no?? so tat can meet upn bring our dogs out for outings

ur dog is too big to put on the bike..... perhaps u haf to take cab.

i sometimes bring her to east coast dog run there also..... a nice place with some fun obstacles for the dog to play with.....

 

the electric collar u mention dun come cheap..... its about $300 a set.... and generally people use it for intermediate/advance obedience dog training....

more expensive than a bike alarm!!!!

mi n my wife think that this electrical collar thingy will be very painful to the dogs so we decided not to use that anyway now my dog is sleeping with mi and the barking issue have stop. Anyway thanks for all the recommendations.

i always say a firm 'no' whenever my dog barks, if my dog doesnt listen to my command, i would beat him. sounds cruel but it works.

my dog always controls his barks when ppl walk by.

come come everybody who owns a dog come n support. i be drivin a van dwn on tat day(bo bian Pauche my dog too big n stoopid 2 take a ride on my bike )so anyone of u who needs a ride i can try n accomadate yah lor catherine i also dun knoe how 2 differntiate a alaskan n siberian husky den some ppl say my dog is a malamute cause hes veri big size if hes a husky(macham xxl size husky:p) but frm wat i knoe malamutes die die wun hab bi coloured eyes(two different coloured eyes) like huskies maybe mine is a cross breed. but i dun care cause i juz love my dog now zzz beside me like a pig liao while im still typing on the com here. onli tin is tat he simply hates my stuck up neighbour's 2 shitzus cause the 2 dogs r the onli 1s he will bark at wherelese he will play with the other dogs
