I have been riding it since 13th Feb this year, the day I passed my CL2... Rode it up to Hatyai on 18th Feb (CNY chu yi) and came back on 20th Feb night, still in good condition now, except for a tick tick sound when at idling... I am going to MotorFactor to do the fan switch and fix up my electric horns, may change the EO and do other stuffs... Then I will ask the mechanic to check on that tick tick sound too...

I hope it is not the tensioner or something like this, like one of the guys posted here... if it is and I must change it, then must burn big hole in my pocket again... sighz...

So i supposed you will be updating us on what the mech got to say about the sound after your next servicing!!!

A tensioner is a self adjusting (spring loaded) or mechanical (bolt and lock nut) adjuster or eccentric cam type for applying pressure or force to a chain or belt to prevent slipping or jumping. They can be lever or slider or eccentric cam type. ( http://www.motovan.com/cat/2007atv_en/ht... this shows cam chain tensioner) on the drive train it is usually a slider mechanical over spring type adjuster

people say the heat prob is a big issue for FJR, but its the same on my VFR previously... 2-3 Red lights, and the fan will be on.... same wat...??

just got back from phuket.

so far no problems at all.

the only gripe i have is the insane amount of vibration on the handlebars which is probably apparent on all other bikes.

no ticking sound either. this bike isn't fit for riding in singapore at all.
