Hi there, im riding the matte black model.. So i'll list down the pros n cons of matte paint..

 

IMHO,

 

Pros: matte paint is easier to maintain. No need waxing. = No swirl marks. Washing is also easy. Matte finishes looks more rugged and streetfighter.

 

Cons: matte paint scratches is almost impossible to touch up unlike gloss finishes. Matte finishes absorb heat from sun. Not for colourful enthusiast. Matte paint protection kit is not readily available in market and if any, its expensive.

 

I may have missed out some pointers but these are what i could think of. Enjoy ur new ride and becareful with that right hand. The throttle response is instantaneous..

Kawasaki is updating the Z series every 3 years, the 2014 Z1000 headlight looks like a predator, much more cleaner looks than the predecessor. The dashboard also looks more colorful. But personally I still prefer the Z800 for its aggressive styling and fuel economy.
