[Trip Report] Malaysia Coast-to-Coast

Helu,

 

Just wanna share our 5-day ride covering coast-to-coast of Malaysia.

A group of 12 bikers... 9 Super4, 1 African Twin, 1 Fazer 1000 and 1 K6-1000 went up to Hatyai 4th April 2006.

 

The itinerary was:

Day 1: Singapore - Hatyai

Day 2: Hatyai

Day 3: Hatyai - Penang

Day 4: Penang - Singapore [Main group returned to Singapore]

Penang - Terengganu [2x Super4 bikes]

Day 5: Terengganu - Singapore

 

Will write the day's activities soon enough.

As for now, may like to have a look at the map for the route travelled.

Hi. Congrats on ur trip! I'm making a trip to Penang soon. Any recommendations for hotel (S$50 to S$80 range) with secure parking for bikes? Where did u guys stay? Any thing to look out for in Penang?

Bro.. Careful of the perk hours jam there in Pulau Pinang... It can kill you..

 

The Northern Beaches area aka Batu Ferringhi has quite a number of resorts and also within the city area...

 

Steps to do a proper KNNBCCB with middle finger.

 

1. Bow down slightly, looking intensely at objective

2. Like a raging bull, hop and jog slowly towards objective

3. Take your left palm and slap it hard on the right mid-arm with a SLAP!

4. With charisma, raise right arm, whilst showing middle finger (with left palm trapped in bend right arm)

5. Shout! KNNBCCB

3pm should be good. Coz i reached the bridge at ard 5 and the traffic is normal.Just go to batu ferrighi if u love the beach scenery and activity.

recently we book a chalet by the beach at ard rm90/nite .Bike park right in front of doorstep.if u still scared can always bring bike in room.

Ok just head down to ferringhi beach.. on that beach theres a lot of chalet,guesthouse to choose from. 1 room can fit 3 or 2 pax.It's aircon with TV,toilet but no fridge.Can try ali ferringhi guesthouse too.. half of my group stayed there when we were there.

 

Internet cafe available at the beach also.

 

Bring lots of Rm hehe

 

Jetski -50rm for 15-20 min ( the jetski very fast..better than phuket)

horse ridding - 20 rm

Very nice ride and report. Read your previous trip to the M'sian Highlands as well. You have a very adventurous spirit!

 

On an aside, how do you draw the lines on the map? Not very techie but would like to do sth like that as a visual for my route for some upcmoing trips.

Someday, home will be where my front wheel points.
