I've a idea to "tailor made" a cover and the design which is pretty similar to the cap or hat type. Can be taken off if you choose to fold and keep the roof in the trunk and put on again vice versa. This cover also adds "extra" protection to the AD3/AD200 roof folding joints should the rainwater seeps into.

The sides of the roof hat shall have a clear plastic material stitch to the black color canvas or plastic material roof piece. Black color was suggested as the roof is existing black in color. The clear plastic material was choosen is because the rider's and pillion's views are not block as they can see through due to the clear plastic material wrap around the sides of the AD3/AD200. The clear material side length must not too long and should be just enough or right for the rider and pillion to get off the bike without getting entangle. This cover can be hold in place by velco tapes or by clips button.

I've provide a photo to picture for some understanding.

I have this lying around the house. It's supposed to be a dinning table pvc cover i think.

Can be bought fairly cheap at hardware shop but only concern is if it stick together after being baked in heat of the sun or turn yellow after exposed to uv. Anyone with a bit of expertise in this area can tell if this material is suitable?

My initial idea is to have this material cut to size and length and use velcro to tape it to the sides of the roof. Then, by the use of round spot Velcro pasted on the windscreen sides to anchor the cover when it is in down position. When not in use can roll back up.

How about this?

The photos was taken on negative mode is to outline the AD3 shape as to sort of show contrast on the main item @Tailor made cover instead of the bike.

The idea of the said existing AD3/AD200 roof as to suggest the adding of the tailor made cover is pretty similar to a trishaw sceneiro......

the trishaw sides cabin are using clear material, so the tourist passenger can see through when the convertable cabin is up during raining or very hot sunny day.

There are many shops along Kitchener Road dealing in this product and can be consult....

Saw this at Mah compound....

This is nice, much more nicer then the one I always see at St. George Road by adding a PVC sheet on top of the roof.

Wonder what material he is using.

Yes I have seen this bike before too. But it uses a shower curtain style and welded a metal rod to the roof to the windscreen frame which AD3 doesnt have. Don't think it is ideal to fix a rod which might be too heavy for AD3 weaker roof.

I always think of my bike as a modern, high tech "tuk tuk'. Lol

Tested max speed last night, top speed achieved 115km/h. Bike is stable, not much vibration. :thumb:

Btw, make sure the pillion wear shoes, no slipper or sanders cause pillion's feet hit by sand/ small stone pick up by the front wheels..:(

You tested with pillion? Without pillion the needle can rapidly reach 120 and comes to a stop there.

Ya, with pillion.

I believe it can reach 120 too. The speed was actually more then 115 but below 120. I had to slow down due to traffic.

Anyway, 110 is good enough for me. I'll be going to Desaru for lunch on 26 Oct with this bike. :)

I agree with you it's decent speed. More importantly is the stability at those speed, it feels planted and quiet.

I think 200cc the top speed might be a little less than ideal.. Unless anyone can share what is the top speed? Was it your friend who bought the 200? or advia89? I cant remember..

I went down to MAH to see the prototype 2 months ago. The sales person told me that by applying brakes , you can actually make the bike stand without putting down your legs. I tried and yup he's right. But u still need to balance.

Think I will go for white ad3 300cc. But should be purchasing in December. If only I can think of how not to get wet in this bike, as its sole purpose of existence is to do so.. :)

I\'ll be there waiting...
