BT021 is really lasting.. 5k mileage liao still look brand new.. It's reasonable for cornering also.. 312C corner can bend ard 45degree.. Of course not those almost stick to the ground cornering..

You mean 5k mileage as in 5000kms right?

Just a question: Does the BT021 look flat in the centre after you have travelled 5000kms? From what I have experienced on BT090, if you don't play corner a lot, you would get a squarish rear tyre... Haha... Really meant for cornering I guess...

No.. It does not have any sign of squaring off yet.. A good way to prevent squaring off of tires is to maintain tire pressure frequently..

Oh man... Then I should really consider splashing a bit more money for the BT021... Consider it an investment... Haha...

It would be wise to change front and back at the same time eventho front tire got thread.... becos after a certain time tire 'Die' like it harden and dont grip

I just bought a secondhand Phantom 200 and the rear tire looks still good but whenever I had to make a sudden stop especially when the front car stops suddenly the bike (rear) skid to the right. Is this problem with the rear tire or the rear wheel is not properly fix in line with the front tire. Now dare not go too near the front car. Can anybody give some expertise advice?

phantom tend to skid easier.. my best advise to you is

1) always keep a safe distance of the vehicle in front of you.

2) try not to use too much of your rear brake.

try asking for more advise on the phantom threads.. cheers.

You are stepping to hard on the brake..do step hard but gradual. ALWAYS USE FRONT & BRAKE simultaneously and if at all possible..the back slightly first before front. Just remember you have to "regulate and feel" the bites of your brakes.

As for skidding, your back suspension may be out of balance liao. Mono shock would never have this problem.

i skidded on wet roads with my phantom a few times and its nothing to be proud of.

wet weather is something i absolutely fear, followed up losing control when braking too hard.

what i do now is keep a safe following distance. (but generally drivers in SG are very inpatient and they dunno what is safety distance and dun bother. sometimes i hope those that dun keep a safe following distance will just get involved in a whole chain of crash because the car right in front brakes and the rest behind cannot stop in time cos they are just about to kiss the ass of the car infront)

another precaution i take is i slow down when approaching traffic junctions.

Right, Guys. Be safe, not sorry.

How time flies...

Big is certainly a warning but small can be downright scary! Never underestimate the effectiveness of small.
