Hi, I'm currently riding a street bike and intend to change to a scooter. Having my eyes on max sym 400 currently but still undecided.

My main concerns are

1) handling

2) difference in maintainence

could anyone advise me on this 2 points and any other points that I should know of before making the switch?

You riding a FZ1.

Scooter very relax. Performance also a bit relax.

For 400 more than enough for local and up north use.

400 top speed around 170km/h.

For handling full forked front suspension will be more motorcycle like.

Easy to ride but may take some time getting use to cause no clutch lever.

I rode scooter since 2B and got a class 2 motorcycle recently and still love the comfort and ease of use of scooter.

Most common problem with switching from bike to scoot is the tendency to grab the left lever thinking its clutch. Fortunately the left lever is the rear brake. If it was the front brake, chances of falling is very likely.

Just need some getting use to. For Turing especially, have to control throttle and hold the rear brake(left lever) for speed control and balance.

I just changed to a scooter from a street bike too.. from cb400 to suzuki burgman 650.. Riding is very different and more relax.. throttle play need some getting use to due to no clutch.. the big storage is really great.. on the maintenance part i'm still learning about it..
