Will be going to view another 05 CBR600 before I made any decision. I told the seller of R6 I will confirm again with him. The paint work and exhaust put mi off a little but overall should be a good bike. Keep the fingers cross who knows what I will be getting....

 

I liked R6 4 projectors headlight light and meter.

I liked CBR600 under seat exhaust and unit pro link swing arm.

I liked GSXR600 steering damper and tail light.

I liked Ninja 636 brake setup.

 

Why cant they conbined everything together.....Haiz...

Feel free to join us. But this is a middle range tour trip so be prepared...But I would suggest to go on some short range trips like malaka before committing to this one anyway still got 2 more months to go...

Not adviceable...Cos the slowest bike or rather the slowest rider in the group is changing to R1 soon. Not to look down on small bike as it is not what i meant as all of us started with small bikes.

Please do not misunderstood my intention. the last bike would be a scooter that recover any bike along the way.

As a guideline, a bike with a cruising speed of 140km/h is recommended. So any 400cc bikes would be sufficient.

However we are not a fast group as this is middle range trip, we have to take into consideration of the fast bikes in front. Not to make them wait too long...

If I may, i would like to suggest join those group with 2B tour group first and gain experience, as the same time take 2A...We welcome you next year! yeah

 

I am ok with that...The rider that have compromise is the one riding small bike. He/She cannot have too much rest.Cos those in front will have too much rest and feel sleepy. And the recovery bike overtake the slowest bike and touch wood..If the last bike break down we have any other case already...Remember the last trip???

And if they have no touring experience...It will be very dangerous for them and the lighting system on small bike is left too much to be desired.

By any chance you have friend wanted to go riding small bike? I am ok with that as well but not adviceable.

 

400cc is fine...We have 400cc in our group as well..Just register your name.

Like I said do not misunderstood my intention. By all means do join us for the trip. A tired rider is very dangerous. If a newbie is even more dangerous. My suggestion is out of good will.

 

I looked at the thread...Traveling speed is 110-120 km/h....So is fine for any 2B bike that can maintain the speed. I will discuss with them and we can meet up when we need to pay for the accommodation.We can advice what is expectations of smaller bike in this trip.

 

Safety is a concern here, specially at night where 2B headlights is not so good. I am riding one now so i roughly know. Not to mention the road holding of smaller bike at higher speed...

We got to co-relate time of travel,lighting condition,speed and individual bike rd holding that contribute to the stress level of rider.

A 600cc bike @ 120km/h and 150cc bike @120km/h for 5 hours are 2 different things.Who will grew more tired along the way?

 

Another thing I am concern is the lighting of the bike in pit dark highway.

As the time is 12mn....We solely use out front headlight for the night vision. A 35W bulb, 60W bulb and 35W HID all differ in confidence level when riding at night.

 

In any case i might think too much but at least the riders must know what to expect.

I would advice go for some weekend short trip like 500km to and fro. Since you are ORD soon, I assume you are on leave now...Get a feel first, because if the trip starts and along the way you are not comfortable with the pace or enough endurance then we might have problems....

Everyone started of as a newbie... Let me juz share my own experience n opinions ba... Juz for reference...

 

My 1st REAL touring trip is on my GSX-R600 to Terangganu. Before that, the furthest I went was Pasir Gudang.

 

To me, dun really find any problem or tiredness at that point. In fact, I enjoyed the whole trip... Guess it depends on each individual's stamina and endurance... Oh, n enough rest the day before is DEFINATELY IMPORTANT...

 

I guess over here, everyone juz wanna have a great trip and juz worried that MAYBE newbies MIGHT NOT be able to handle the long distance.

 

But like wat was said above, we welcome new riders to join in the fun! Important thing is BE SAFE!

4. turn left at Rd mileage 284.5km (direction to Ipoh)

5. EST. 46km journey to Y-junction than keep right to Ipoh

6. EST. 9km journey to Y-junction than keep left

7. 3rd stop at Rawang R&R Petronas (Rd mileage 440km)

5. 4th stop at Tapah R&R Shell (Rd mileage 330km)

7. Taking Tapah to Cameron

itinerary is free and easy, normally i would visit the tea and strawberry farms, eat steamboat, enjoy the cool air, visit the night bazaar, and trek the numerous trails and/or WALK UP gunung brinchang. (have to give the old lungs a workout!) accomodation is very basic at desa anthrium apartments subject to change.

 

looking for interested people to join, newbies/small bikes welcome.

Guys there will be changes of plans. Selphie n i maybe wont be going for the trip , due to safety reason. The mountain road up will be foggy by the time we reach there. If we move out at fri nite n reach there sat morning i am afraid we wont have enough rest for the sun rise n afternoon ride . Everything is not confirm coz maybe miracle will happen.

 

Ah Tot just a few advise for ur bike condition before going for trips. Since u r riding a rvf these are some things which i always do n check 1 week before trips.

 

1: Battery , rectifer and magnetic coil ( common problem for honda bikes.)

2: Tyres conditions. ( Best if the tyres is not out of shape or going bald soon )

3: Engine oil ( change if nesscery. Coz ur bike is maintain 9k rpm n above most of the time )

4 : Spark plug , air filter and carb in gd condition

5 : Brake pads n brake fluid in gd condition . ( high speed and mountain roads tends to use brake pads more.)

6 : Headlight working well

7 : Proper riding gears

8 : Last of all enjoy the ride !!!!!!!
