beside riding bikes , any1 else got grow plants as hobbies?

 

my types of plants at home

1) sui mei : wrightia religiosa

2) bougainvillea

3)cactus

4)mum's miniture orchids

5)got some more but don know its name :cheeky:

ur mini orchild got flowers?

 

my mum's mini orchild no flower leh...

 

don know is not enuf sunlight or fertilizer...

Got.

 

They don't need too much sunlight.

 

Just spray some water daily okie liao.

 

Need some fertilizer.

 

Either liquid ones in water when you spray on or those pellets from flower shop.

 

Make sure its for flowering plants.

 

I sometimes use my organic fertilizer if i have herbs or vege growing near by.

bt my mum's 1 not doing very good ... seem like dying...

You must take care...

 

Make sure there is plenty of air.....

 

I had a beautiful wall of tomato plan until it became infected with minibugs.... Then I had to kill it....

 

But i had it for a good year with plenty of havest.... I grew it using hydropronics....

Leave it somewhere with filtered light.....

 

Make sure the roots are breathing.... ie. dun cover up with soil.... just use charcoal.... maybe change to watering on alternate days....

 

If have black spots then its sick liao..... just cut and remove the leaves and stems with the black spots....

 

For me... I used to continue to water even after it seems to wilt and die, then new shoots will grow...

Organic fertilizer......

 

There are liquid ones and soil ones....

 

Mostly for my edible plants e.g. chilli, ladies fingers, herbs

 

But if just flowering ones then I use what they recommend at the nursery....

soo far i use e fertilzer still no see flowering on other orchids ...

think my level stil not good with orchids

i finally increase my shui mei population liao haa haa

but jus last week sme1 broke my container ! heng no damage to e plant !
