Hey guys

Is it true that used motorcycles have to go through a yearly inspection in Singapore? My concern is that I am planning on importing or buying a Ducati Monster 1100 EVO and it would have a Termignoni carbon racing exhaust fitted...

If there's a yearly inspection, I would most likely have swap the Termis with the standard exhaust before each inspection which would cost prohibitive...

Anyone has any experience with that?

If it's a race only exhaust, not road legal. Liable to attract a $700, 1st offence(for now, likely higher in the future) the fine.

Local regulation enforcement personal, lta officers, have been more actively clamping down of late.

You can change it out at yearly inspections, but they will also photograph the stock exhaust installed on your bike. If you get caught with the race can later on, no plea of "but I bought it like that" will be entertained.

Wow - that sucks. Can't imagine riding this beauty without the racing pipes on...

What you can do is gut the stock pipe and put in the termi internals.

Alternatively, you can go inspection with stock then put on the racing pipe after it, just don't get caught...or run whenever you can.
