Think i got to go back and check with them regarding my engine oil. Cause I left my bike there for 2 hrs and came back to take they were like fixing back my fuel tank already. So I dint see the process. I really cant see the oil when the bike is upright. sigh.. Before the change still can see.

 

I think the iridium plugs promotes better combustion which theoretically should promote better fuel savings. ie to say at the same tuning of the bike, put in iridium plug as compared to non iridiums would see a higher in idling. Thus the jets could be tuned down so as to use lesser fuel to achieve the same power.

Advantages of Iridium spark plug types

 

Due to the properties of Iridium, the spark plugs centre electrode can be made with a much smaller diameter than with platinum, Gold or gold palladium and copper/nickel types without sacrificing service life. The spark plugs potential difference is more concentrated at the tiny Iridium tip and hence less 'spark jump' voltage is required - this can be as much as 5,000 volts less than with standard plug types.

 

Ignition is improved and less strain is placed on the ignition system.Benefits of improved ignition/combustion include better fuel economy, increased power/acceleration and especially better throttle response.

36780KM and 27000KM are indeed huge mileages. My $5 plugs lasted me only 16000KM when it decided to konk out.

 

How much are those Iridium per piece?

16 dollars ngk iridium... norm spark plug cost less then half

$5 lasts you for 16000km, $16 lasts you 36000km..

 

do the maths, $5 actually better..

 

but iridium plugs wastes less power on igitions.. and the hassle of going to bike shops to change them..

 

i still prefer the hassle-less and expensive method..

 

 

You'll find that your plugs can last you long, you dun change it.. but actually thy are old and fouled, you didnt realise because you are riding it everyday.. the otherway is true, if you change your plugs and realise sudden increase in power and response..

 

be it corrective or preventive maintenance, it's really up to you when you wanna change it.. 10000km, 15000km are just the guidelines.. you dun need to go according to it..

 

if you feel rich, can change plugs, EO and oil filter every 5000km.. if not, EO every 5000km, oil filter every 10000km or 15000km/ every 2 or 3 EO change.. plugs every 3 oil change..

 

but in the end, it's still up to individual..

If u know how to clean the plug contact metal, a decent plug can really last you veriii long time. Normally i just change new ones at 15Km to save the trouble

The normal one can last about 30000 kms. iridium by right should be 80000 kms but usually 40000+ must change liao

usually FC is about 300km before reserve. after I change to BMC filter, now can hit 340km. other than that, I feel it's not much diff from stock filter.

since ur fc is better means respond should be better by 13% ... lesser petrol to give the same power.... Just imagine ur old fc u use 1ml to make ur rpm 4k(example) then now u using 0.8ml to make ur rpm to 4k (example)... if u use 1ml could be 5k rpm(example)..... the performance wise is very little for you to feel... unless u like me change everythin 1 shot Full system KnN Filter Dyno Jet Kit... then you feel the difference!!!

ya... better respond defi and better pick up too. well, i'm a safe rider so i'll usually go slow... most important is it gave me better FC... Haha......
