I feel like no difference between Iridium n normal plugs....

Lotsa ppl tell me iridium can feel it but i can't bear myself to buy them. Normal vs iridium price is 1:2. :bounce:

How time flies...

Big is certainly a warning but small can be downright scary! Never underestimate the effectiveness of small.

how long do u guys ride before changing spark plug and engine oil?

10k to 30k depending on riding style and how you use your bike. I know of cases that last up to 60k. For me, I ride till plug give way

It's a $40 change for safety and piece of mind. Treat your bike well, your bike will treat you well.

Yes..that's correct and you can still ride to the nearest shop to have it replace. The feeling is that its like having water in your fuel.

Yes, the spark plug hole threading are pretty 'soft'...less risk of damaging it or having cross thread or over tightening.

There is no need to take out the plug to check the condition and there is nothing to check on the plug unless you are "plug testing" for some reason, like finding the ride plug to suit your special blended fuel for racing or exhaust system tuning.

Don't quite understand here?...it has nothing about being stingy in saving money or at all would damage a bike. Its all about well utilizing the plug thru its life span.

I'm testing a spark plug now that supposed to last 30k..not so much for its cost but how well it does for what its made of..it's pure "Silver" for its core electrode and a set of 4 cost $128. My intent is to see if it last beyond that.

I know its up to each individual how often one want their plugs change as often but the truth is that there is no need to like some ppl change every eo change..the manual did not say so either.

The kind of spark plug that motordiam installed on my S4 VtecIII is normal Denso plug since last Dec08. Possibly, waiting for Nov09 to get it change, hope I still can remember:shades:

:btw:is there any sign & symptom, and would it cause problem for the motor if there is delay in replacing them or any concern if running at 2 half-mulfunctioned splug plug without knowing.

The symptom is the bike will lose power and will be misfiring.

U r welcome.

When the bike misfires, the bike will have erratic idling. And when u try to throttle, the bike will have funny sound coming from the exhaust n u r not able to rev up easily.

do not use **S sprk plug. screwed my frens bike once, one of the spark plug popped out, left the thread only inside. luckily he replace for free. few mths later, not even 7k of usage, yesterday bike wobbles, the plug condemn again!!!! i helped him to clean the plugs...the tips not evenly worn. stick to iridium denso or ngk platinum. din encounter any problem.

also the **s oil very dilluted. he uses fully syn 10w40, but when i drain the oil, im suprise it was so dilluted. so far used esso, castrol, motul. silkolene, amsoil etcc....never experience it before....kinda scary..

yup. heard from my mech also.

Yo bro...

talking about EO & plug,

i have used several brands: **S, **TUL, **SOIL, **XIMA, ****IMOLY

so far **SOIL is the best and the first one is not kinda satisfactory.

For plug, i have used 2 brands: *WS & *GK.

Both served me well.

But just want to share with you, recently Nology has released new plug with silver material (this is the best conduktor, much better than iridium).

to gain the maximum combustion, you may need to choose ignition coil with lower resistant (example Nology cable & Hol parts)

and do the correct gapping otherwise it will just useless.

Hope it is useful...

This new released Nology silver plugs is actually OE by Brisk. Look at the packaging and you will know.

I've been testing Nology Silver core plug for awhile. Not much difference from an Original Denso iridium plug performance wise and so does in FC. Smoothness is all you get. Don't waste $s if you are expecting a lot extra.

As for the Nology ignition coil cable, to my knowledge..currently there is non for bikes..if there is, the length has to be customised to suit the model original. This cable is not just a low resistance cable, its a 'capacitor' indeed throughout its length..freaking expensive but great. One other thing though..once your combustion spark requirement is good enough say from any other good plug..you can'rt better it with a bigger sparking. What needs to ignite adequately for a good combustion is there all is to it.

Of course if your CDI and ignition coil are non stock and of higher performance..firewire and silver core plug is an added must.

INHO.
