oh ya hor.

got it. :cheeky:

It does not matter on the absolute weight. It depends on how long you

hold it.

If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, we will not be able to carry on as the burden becoming increasingly heavier.

juz recieved a msg from the seller saying that because there is an extra wire running from the starter to the CDI ...installing the remote start might cause a problem ....this applies to VTEC 1 ....he'll either do a full refund if i decide to return it back or a $10 refund if i still decide to go ahead with the installation without the remote start .

i will reconfirm with the installer again regarding this info ...check this space for updates

so do you encounter any problems with VTEC 1 installing the auto start ? how to contact you ?

Posted

Just a clarification to readers whom MIGHT be confuse when reading this thread. The alarm can be use & compatible to ANY bike.

The remote engine start-up function is an option. Most bikes can use it, exceptional to some special few. Bike with HISS & obviously bikes with kick-start can't use it. Vtec-I & above is not advisable as well.

Unlike other bikes, Vtec hv a pink wire looping their start line to CDI. Although we yet to EXPERIMENT any, but we would rather be safe than sorry if anything got to do with CDI; we do not want to see unhappy customers’ later.

Such fine detail is gained from experience & know-how by our competent & recommended installer, instead of just believing the hearsay of remote-start will fry CDI without understanding the actual fact.

Otherwise the remote engine start-up is fine & has been safely being installed at many bike for many years from the smallest (Sfera 80cc) to the biggest (Valkyrie 1500cc).

Words can be misleading! Always trust your own confidence!

I do not encourage v tec 1 to install as the wiring is about the same as vtec 2 & 3 just only the CDI unit is abit different only. vtec 2 and 3 got ECU vtec 1 no but it can be fix in. So the CDI unit will not allow any exteral start system to start the bike only using key and push start buttom. The electrical wave will anti the alarm auto start voltage. If the alarm broke the anti electric wave the CDI will overload and fry like pan cake................ Only Vision s and other kind of bike can...... But experience i do not encourage auto start for bikes and cars

ok the technical terms are confusing me ...so plz summarise...what is the probability percentage of the remote start frying the CDI ? btw how much is a CDI ?
