Hello Im new to this board and to the world of motorbikes also ! I just bought a X-1R in Thailand and have a few questions...

First it seems stupid but how to turn off the lights on the bike ? cant find it and the manual is in thai...

Second is the bike is making a small noise coming from the chain, a kind of "tac tac tac" Is that normal ?

Every servicing is good to change:

- EO

- Oil Filter

- Spark Plug

 

Normal EO (eg :Yamahalube), stated on the bottle, EO good till 2000km.

Expensive EO (eg : Maxima ), stated on bottle, EO good till 6000km.

 

You decide yourself, if lazy go motorshop frequently, just change Expensive EO as you need to change after 6000km.

 

 

Yearly Serving, Change :

- Sprocket + Chain

- Tyres

- Brake Pad

- Air Filter

 

Regarding Carb, if bike no problem, don't service it. Once touch, it requires more frequent servicing.

bro imran just sold his X1R....

 

anyway can use semi sync no prob but if cn use Maxima if got xtra $$

in te long run is gd or even better thn other EO for your bike ....

 

btw do you need white hdlight ??

use better petrol n eo... is gd for the bike in the long run.. recommand to use oct 98 n above.. eo.. use something like maxima, motul, silkolene..

There is no more on n off switch for the headlight.. not very sure if thailand x1r still equip with the on off switch(my cousin x1r have on off switch for his headlight)... will check with my cousin in thailand with that.. if it happen to have, it will be on the right handbar there. U cant miss it.

 

There will be sound coming from the chain.. if u ride it without helmet u will hear it without fail.. is normal.. but to be safe then sry check the free play of the chain..
