test figures taken from motorcyclist mag.

 

'06 model , hp@rpm , lb-ft@rpm.

cbr1krr , 158.8@11,500 , 79.6@8,750

zx10r , 166.1@12,000 , 81.8@8,500

gsxr1k , 159.8@11,500 , 79.2@9,750

yzf-r1 , 154.9@12,750 , 72.9@10,000

 

horsepower ranking:

1) zx10r

2) gsxr1k

3) cbr1krr

4) yzf-r1

 

quarter mile, sec@mph.

1) zx10r [email protected]

2) yzf-r1 [email protected]

3) gsxr1k [email protected]

4) cbr1krr [email protected]

 

who r the king?? zx10r win by a couple of hundred-tenth seconds.

the fact is they r all fast bikes, differ by only factions hundred of tenth seconds.

other factors like setup, tyres, tuning, riders' skill, etc tat win the races.

king of liter bikes r nothing more than a hundred-tenth seconds ahead.

i noticed that at the start of the thread, there were mentioning of quick vs fast. can someone enlighten me the diff?

 

i believe it got something to do with top speed and acceleration right? just can seem to tell which is which. (i think gammeratically, can have quickest acceleration and fastest acceleration right?).

All bikes are nearly equally fast. If we're talking abt which 1000cc bike is faster on the track, it all depends on the rider.

you all talk about kawa and gixxer and yamaha bikes.. but you guys miss out the mv augusta which definitely has more power amoung the 1000cc bikes.. and also the desmosedici....

The desmo class is totally a different class from the rest of the bikes...

I agree that for 2008, the CBR seems to be the best among the rest.

 

BUT... For 2009... You've gotta check out this video by MCN too.

If u are a johorian then shld be more convenience to own singapore bike

unless u are not working here,there is quite no of malaysian fellow

riding sg superbike..

 

Between this thread doesn't specified which year of 1000c bike.

As for 2009 think R1 is pretty fast and good in term of handling and corner.

5 time superpole for yamaha R1 in WSBK.
