N6110 navigator with GPS

My phone N73 warrenty ending soon, wanna to sell of but dont know what hp to get...saw 1 white nokiafone with gps is it the 6110 u guys talkin abt?

Juz curious, do you guys set WAP as the default access point for the GPS? Coz I ran the GPS w/o simcard, after putting in the sim card, asked me to choose which access point to use. Wondering if WAP is the free one. Thanx.

how long do ur gps take to get ur position ?

 

mine normally takes 20mins, i walk from taka to ps, only when i reach meridien then it can get my position

 

is this normal ?

think is not tt slow ba because when i first get this phone it located me very fast not more than 10 second but now a day i get my location very slow also not too sure wat is happening

as with all GPS... LOS very important. line of sight... so normally on a bright and sunny day u'll be able to get ur positioning very fast... but cloudy or under a building... good luck...

go to open air, do not stay in shopping centre then u will get it very fast!

So anyone can confrim whether is there any addtional charges if i were only to use the GPS for Singapore roads?

nope there wont be any charges. the asisted GPS (i.e the voice that say turn left turn right) only last for 3 mths if i am not wrong.

the gps for those preinstalled maps from singapore to KL are free to use

i dun think is like tt ba because i the voice thing is come with the map currently use so long also have lah?? anyway is there any upgrade to the map because is 2006 map i can't get my gps to work when it is at vivo city tt road or sentosa any bro can??

there will no extra charges at all for 6110, the voice asisted GPS is built in the phone, u only pay if you want to get update from gprs, once you buy this phone they come with jb, kl and singapore map and the gps voice is free not like n95

anyway my classmate yesterday tried is N95 trying to access to GPS but the phone couldnt detect anything...we were inside the lobby of a building and then went out of the building still cant detect...

this phone is not bad.. except for the outlook..

doesn't look appealing..

nvm.. use awhile and see how well it serves me in Malaysia first
