As typical cotton filter requires oiling during regular intervals, the filtration capability is not consistent (freshly oiled filter will perform and degrade in filtration capability over time until re-oiling is performed). The Sprint Filter does not require oiling like its cotton filter counter parts, hence offering a consistent filtration throughout its life span with just some simple compressed air cleaning!
