Anything on the marine / shipping / petroleum (gas oil / diesel / fuel oil) sector

I have been in the Marine / shipping industry for some time now and ships and petroleum never stop to amaze and keeps me coming back for more.

 

What I mean is, im sure you guys have heard of people asking around if any buyers/sellers of gold, supposedly in big or a certain quantity a month/week kinda thing and ultimately turns out to be a chain of the blind cheating (or leading on) the blind? Yes I have been caught in this situation more than often before BUT in the petroleum industry.

 

Being in the shipping industry, often I here people asking if I have capable buyers/sellers for petroleum products (eg. gasoil, diesel, fuel oil). Lets not even touch on the topic of "Russian D2" or "Mazut M-100" which can be seen on numerous sites/forums internationally.

 

Here in Singapore, there are also but I never bother about the above 2 mentioned products. But what I do know, other products like "gasoil 0.05% Sulphur" (aka 500ppm sulphur) and "high speed diesel" does exist. Mostly from neighbouring countries eg. Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand.

 

Why do I say that these really exist, because after few times trying, I actually managed to broker a deal betwn 2 parties and end up being quite good frens with them.

 

Therefore, by starting this thread, my main intention is to gather those of us who have the same interest as above (be it shipping, marine, maritime, ships, petroleum) to share ideas, info and possibly to expand our networking. I know it may b a bit hard to talk abt "bunker" which usually is a taboo word in the industry, but if u feel there is a possibly of a collaboration, then im glad to meet up with anyone to share wateva intel I have. when I mention intel, I mean sellers/products etc,
