leason learnt is to noe the prices for each parts, machine prices n stuffs before buying or repairing....

Looking for recommendation for shop that can do some good service work on Suzuki SV650S (yes, just bought from the garage sales forum :-) ).

 

Need front brake repair, fork-oil changeover (heavier weight oil) and general service. Front forks could do with re-chroming also (very pitted).

 

Am looking at going to either Speedy, Heng or possibly HKL Racing - anyone recommend these shops or suggest alternatives?

 

Note that I'm angmo so hopefully a shop that's not going to chop me too hard for being foreigner ;-)

 

All advice gratefully appreciated. Will give feedback once I've had the services done next week.

Try Seng Motor and look for Michael. It's behind HKL. He have alot of Angmo customers.

btw, always check out if there is an i.u unit when u buy a bike at everbright..

my first bike bought there doesn't come with i.u unit ...

 

reason given by the salesman: " u buy ah a 2nd hand i.u cheap only..

What makes this shop commendable?

Sales man over there do nothing but talk. promised to fix my bike in 2weeks (including new spray) after i deposit the money.

 

After i deposit the money. the story changed~ they take forever to do the bike.

give me stupid reasons like " need photo of the ideal bike i wan so tat the incharge can spray it(which is a very common paint) , spray out of colour waiting for the colour to come"

 

so ya. delay and delay~ two weeks later i ring them. they said waitinf for spray to come. and didnt even touch the bloodly bike.

 

i dun understand why they wan to waste both mine and their time.

so guys hope u guys OPEN ur eyes and see which shop to buy from. = (

I been riding for abt 8yrs + nw....

nw riding my 10th bike....

had many bad brush wif many shops

but oso there are gd ones.....

i sort of have an impression of wat shops are gd or sux!!!! (mayb my pt time is working at bike shop)

pm mi for more info b4 u go purchase any bikes esp 2nd hands.....

Hi, I am looking for a 2nd Ver S. I went to a shop, there are a few but yet to be done up/change parts.

 

They said will change the parts depending on what I want.

 

What should I ask them to change other than respray?

finally i've got my bike already~ they promised 1-2weeks but it took them 3weeks plus to get the bike ready~ anyway.. when i got the bike.. i think its worth the waiting~ = )
