What service/product did you purchase?

Bought a phantom TA200

 

Level of service: 10 (Their executive officer, David, was friendly, explained all quotations and charges accordingly. What you see is what you pay, quotation given and sum paid was entirely same. Called him for enquiries, and everything was explained patiently. After signing at bout 11, he said bike will be ready by 2, I said Can it be quicker? I have an appointment later, and I thought it was immediate drive away. He said, okay latest by 2. 12.30 he calls and says your bike is ready, and nicely washed and polished.)

 

Level of knowledge: 9 (Knew what he was talking about, if he didn't, he'd say, "Oh okay, please let me check that for you and I'll get back to you shortly. 3mins later, he calls back e.g. my road tax)

 

Level of value for money: 7 (Not exactly on the low range, i paid 3.8k machine price, but the condition was rather pristine in my honest opinion for a 2yo bike. The interest is a tad high as well, but its not their fault, he explained everything, and I felt that I could back out anytime i wanted, no pressure)

 

How happy are you overall? 9

 

What makes this shop commendable? (give details..)

 

I would definately recommend this shop to all first time buyers, Bukit Merah Lane 2, they are also the official distributor of some INdian brand Bajaj, and they have 2nd hand and brand new bikes as well. Be informed though that price is slightly on the upper end of the scale, but they will not change the price without your knowledge

Level of knowledge: 5. 2days after i got my bike. i went back there. the boss forget me already. only rmb i bought the bike not long ago.

maybe can try the mech 'ah heng'. heard from my dad that he's honest. but to me, doesnt speak much.

Any Bikeshop recommendation for overhauling this bike?

 

My coolant water leaking and bike overheat;went to Hua Chin at Btbatok and was told by the friendly mechanic that likely have to replace mid engine block. quoted 1k for 2nd hand one. including timing chain etc etc he estimated probably 1.5k plus.

 

So best is to get a really reliable bikeshop to do this overhaul. i live West area. anyone can help? thx.

racewerks? just dont ask HKL abt them can already....long line of history man...but this shop is the same as any other shop i would say..got good and bad la...

 

price there cheaper slightly and affordable, willing to help u answer ur queries even if u nvr buy anything from them but skill wise, i never try before so i cant comment on that...

Ok I know that I posted good comments before about Planet Motors and Hua Chin. Here is an update. Hua Chin service has dropped alot. Never check bike properly and I ride out with problems unresolved. Very disappointed.

 

Planet Motors still good but I found a new shop that beats them all. HL Cycle at Kaki Bukit Ave 6, AutoBay 2nd level. Went there for an old change, they gave me two spark plugs (promotion till end of July 09) and a free bike wash. And my bill comes to only the price of the two bottles of Engine Oil that I chose. ($10 each cos I chose the cheapest engine oil). But what impressed me most was the level of service given. They really treat me like a customer and take good care of me (unlike other place that just tell you "wait"). I feel so pampered even though I only went to change engine oil. It was raining and I waited for the rain to stop. The boss brought me a chair and asked me to have a seat. After that he was even nice enough to help me push my bike out for me. That is Tip Top Service my friend!!! Never before have I experienced such good service at any motordiam and I am deeply impressed. That tells me they treasure me enough as a customer to treat me with care and respect and it makes me feel good and warm inside. Needless to say, I will be going back there for any motorbike needs that I have in the future.

Very good shop for the first 3000km from the day i bought my bike from them.Right after my warranty ends with the shop bit by bit the bike start giving problem.Coincidence?Ha!More to like a well planned work.The stuffs that begins to spoil are not cheap to fix.Well at least for me its not.The cheapest was like $120.The way they handle my bike,is another **** up service,either the problem never solve or the paint on my bike got chipped off cause of their rough handling.I have been tolerating with this particular shop until an incident happen.My bike was left with the shop for service.When i got back my bike,there is something missing from my bike.An accessory that i bought for like $70.Again its not a cheap thing to lose for me.I demand a replacement and they told me they will call me when they got the replacement.Its been like 2 or 3 months nw,no farking phone call received.When i call,they would give me tons of **** reasons.I have already found a good shop that took care of my bike well for months now.Anyway the shop is MACH SPEED MOTOR located at Eunos.Now,I have totally no reason to go back to Wing Yap to fix any prob coming from my bike but as i stated previously.I just want back the accessory that got lost under their care!I know losing a customer is not a problem to u as u got tons of other customer but be farking responsible! U people are so old yet u do this type of ting to a swit 20 year old boy.Imagine if someone do this type of thing to ur children.Im sure u wouldn't like it right.Thank you.Have a nice day.

Try "Alexander Motors" at Sin Ming Autocare complex, ground floor. Honest people,but if u want to save money,go to Ah Boy's workshop. Will take quite a while though.
