Sorry to hear about your lousy experience, eddarwin. I have had my experiences with that shop before and have never gone back to them ever. No benefit of the doubt for this shop, you need to know your figures before you enter. Otherwise, deadly.

Hong Nan Motor Agency

Recently bought a 2nd hand bike from them.

First ride out, the damn bike no power during my ride, no horn and cannot signal at all. Went back to bike shop next day to have the keyhole connector repair. I thought the problem was solved but it came back again. I had to do my own repair since it is 4 year old bike, change new battery, change new sprocket, new chain and a new o-ring due to oil leak. Just my bad experiences, these are the shops that promise they will do and check the bike before the sales and give you sh*t machine to ride cause their lives not at stake. WTF!!!

Just want to let everyone know DO NOT EVER GO TO GL_ _AL M%T%R @ A_ _ _BAY The mechanics are **** they have no knowledge about bikes, I would like to share with you guys this bad experience so you would not go there

My friend recently bought a spark which is 4month old now, After sending the bike there for some modifications it came out WORSE than a stock bike and SCRATCHES on the cover set.

First thing i would like to say the YSS Suspension they sold is F***ed up its shaky and loose after complaining 4 to 5 times the mech say its normal.. he assured us its normal, But after getting a 2nd opinion from another shop They immediately told me its not normal something is lose, Then and only then did the mech checked the suspension and said " OH SCREW LOOSE " What if my friend had been in an accident.. are they willing to answer?? i don't think so Pure lazyness and no regards to other people well being

Secondly, After Modding the bike, it became worse than a stock bike The piston size is so huge but he says its ok it will last, Everyone who has mod their bike for race track use will know that if you kick start your bike it will be alot harder due to the compression but Instead it was like kick starting a stock bike, and If you know bigger piston means more headache for daily use YET he ASSURED US the bike can be daily used no problem. what the F*** kind of stupid logic is he trying to sell us i dont understand

Thirdly, After leaving the bike there YET again for the 2nd time.. It came out with more scratches than b4.. Today when i personally went to check the bike i saw scratches on the brand new stock cover and the cover protecting the carburetor bend to s*** with screw marks trying to pry it open and yet he can blame other shop for opening it wrongly cause i personally see every other mechanic taking out the seat first then opening the coverset. But instead they just do it the lazy way and leave the seat intact but try to pry it open with a screw driver now it has bend marks in the plastic and it cant close properly now...

And lastly The mechnics there as u can read they do not take care of your bike and have little or NO knowledge about the bike If you want proof you can contact my friend or me They have the pictures with DATE AND TIME to prove it.

I am seriously angry at them for doing this to my friends bike Hard earn money spend on a bike end up looking like **** and performing like ****, Giving you crap items for alot of $$$. I hope no one else who is new to the bike mod world will fall for their LIES and deception.

er i never went to autobay one, i go to defu lane one( now at toh guan)

most of the mechs are new. Except for Ah shun and ah hong which are there since their defu lane outlet.

as for salesmen, i tend to avoid them because they dunno much abt ur bikes and they try to do ur their job( quite well at it). so if ur easily influenced to buy this buy that, avoid them. Nothing wrong. u just dun wan ur wallet to get lighter.

I tried bikeworkz @ kaki bukit near autobay. (shun li industrial park opp Republic motors)

ah beng the boss there very nice and explain everything down to its tiny details.

my bike was serviced by one of the other mech, Li Tian. He explains everything down to the tiny details as well before i decides to change whichever parts. Waiting time is abit long because they have quite a no. of customers. Worth the wait tho!

I'm been a regular customer from the day they open from day 1.

Thoughout the years the service from them is excellent.

There are times when what need to be fixed for my bikes are expensive, but the mechanics like ah hong n ah shun do their best to help me save money here and there.

From your post u says that their salesman are influencing u to buy this and that.

But think on the other hand, did they force u to buy it? Afterall it's your own temptation that takes over and u spend on it willingly.

So don't curse and swear about it after spending. If cannot afford it then don't.

Lastly everyone will have their choice of shops which they prefer. If it doesn't suit u then by all means go to the shops u prefer.

yep, ur right to put it across that its my own temptation that takes over and that i spent on it willingly.

As i have no intention to smear/tarnish the reputation of such a nice bikeshop(if any, its unintentional) in the west, i take back my words and have removed that post( mod pls assist)

I apologize if i have caused any unnecessary commotion or inconvenience to the shop, mech, staff, owners and vivid supporters of UM.

P.S. IMO, the mechs there are still one of the best out there.

A sales's person's job is to promote products to customers, if customer is convinced with the products, definitely the customer will buy. And i believe the sales person that recommended the stuffs to u genuinely have the heart to help u. He nvr take a gun and force you to buy. If u really didnt want the products, by all means say no then. Zzz

Hi, i may be getting a bike from bike production. anyone have any info on them?

I have called quite a number of shops and seems they are the cheapest price they quote me. Some shops quote me difference of 1k higher compare to them . I can say, go ahead with them.

Today called Hong Leong Corp Hld Yamaha to ask some bike price. A lady pick up my call and transfer me to another lady (probably from sales) which greet me with a rude voice. I politely asked her the price for a bike. After giving me the price, i politely said "thank you".

And guess what ???

she SLAMMED the phone on me !!!

What a Great Customer Service by a good reputation company !!!
