The Breakdown of the whole event up to date:

 

29 March 2005 9pm: At the junction of Moulmein Road with the entrance to CTE outside the old Communicable Disease Centre (CDC) A car ignore my right of way (I going straight with green light in my favour) dashed out of her right turning pocket and block my way which I eventually crashed right into the rear passenger door. The impact flung my pillion and myself off the bike. I flew over the top of the car while my pillion flew sideway. When I recovered my composure, I realised I had a broken left leg around my ankle, several cuts on my left shoulder bruised right wrist. My pillion suffered a open wound on the back of her left palm. After surveying the whole situation I noticed the driver of the car which I impacted, didn't call for ambulance and is still sitting in the car. Then I saw the car shifted from the spot of impact to another location. I noticed a total of 3 people in the car, a female at wheel and 2 guys as passenger. I notified the police officer on the spot (A QX was right behind the traffic when the accident occured) He assured me he took note of that. At the point of time I'm losing myself and drifting into a coma, i tried to call for my own ambulance which arrived 15-20mins later. Meanwhile I tried my best to comfort my injuried pillion.

 

29 March 2005 10pm-11pm: At TTSH, I was sent to A & E while my pillion was sent to another side of the department. After looking into my case briefly, the duty doctor told me I suffered from a broken ankle and there were few broken glasses remained in my left shoulder. He suggested a detailed xray to confirm the full extend of my injuries, however during the xray, when they are turning my leg, I cried out in pain. 2 doses of morphine were given to me in order for the xray to go thru. The result of the Xray confirmed my worst fear, a complete fracture of my Tibia and Fibula (the two bones which make up the whole shin) and a hairline crack on my right wrist. I was given notice that an operation was a must at the time.

 

29 March 2005 11pm-12am: I was told to stop intake of fluid and food and was warded. Operations was scheduled in the morning at 7am. However the actual operation took place on 30 March 2005 at 10.30pm.

 

30 March 2005 10.30pm: At operating theatre, I was given ORIF (Open Reduction Implant Fixture) which means 2 screws were inserted into my bone to hold the 2 broken bones together. I was briefly discharged after 2 days of rest.

 

2 April 2005 8pm: I was discharged and were wheelchaired bound scheduled for the next 6 months.

 

2 April - 2 June 2005: Went to Polyclinic to wash my surgical wounds

 

2 June 2005 : I was refered to the Chief Orthopaedic and he recommended another operation to secure my shifting Fibula and Tibia

 

5 June 2005 : Undergo 2nd Operation which added 1 stainless steel plate and 5 more surgical screws to my inventory

 

20 July 2005 : Remove 2 surgical screws and finally given the green light to walk on my newly repaired leg

 

Up to date currently waiting for the police report on the accident and the report on the traffic light in order for the police to charge the female driver and get my compensation. Was told by the IO that the traffic light report will take 4-6mths and my lawyer advised me that only when the gal is charged and found guilty will I be able to know the sum of compensation I'm entilted to. Meanwhile if there is any update I will update you guys here.
