KUALA LUMPUR: Pop star Siti Nurhaliza will wed businessman Datuk Khalid

Mohamed Jiwa on Aug 21.

 

 

The engagement and akad nikah ceremony will be held at Masjid Wilayah

Persekutuan, while wedding receptions are scheduled for Aug 28 at the

Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) and Sep 3 in Kuala Lipis, Pahang.

 

 

Siti's parents' 38th wedding anniversary also falls on Aug 21, Siti

revealed at the press conference to announce the wedding.

 

 

The couple have commissioned Datuk Raja Shah Reza from Nusantara Gems as

wedding planner, with the reception at the KLCC to feature a "garden

wedding" concept.

 

 

Fashion designers Radzwan Radzwill, Michael Ong, Embun and Ana Avanti

have been engaged to design the wedding costumes, which will feature

traditional songket and tekat.

 

 

Makeup artistes Nurul Shukur and Mia have also been engaged for the

KUALA LUMPUR, July 17 (Bernama) -- Pop diva Siti Nurhaliza Taruddin, 27,

has finally put to rest the much-talked about speculation over her

wedding to Datuk Khalid Mohamed Jiwa, 47, better known as Datuk K.

 

 

The couple will tie the knot on Aug 21 at the Federal Territory Mosque

in Jalan Duta here, according to a statement issued at a press

conference here Monday.

 

 

The press conference was aired live over TV3's 'Wanita Hari Ini'

programme at noon.

 

 

Also present at the event held at the The Zone On The Park, Jalan Ampang

were Siti Nurhaliza's parents and Khalid's close relatives.

 

 

The statement said, the solemnisation and the engagement ceremony will

be held concurrently.

 

 

Their wedding ceremony, which will be open to the public, will be held

on Aug 28 at the Exhibition Hall at the KL Convention Centre, it said.

 

 

Another reception will be held at her hometown in Kuala Lipis, Pahang on

Sept 3 for family members, media and her fans.
