OK, after long wait only semalam the camp boss reply me.

 

So I am please to say that the WHITE WATER RAFTING trip is ON ...!!!! The date 29/30 Sept 2012.

 

The price tak byk berubah. Last time in 2006 the price was S$115, this time is only S$120.

 

What's include;

 

1 - Rafting event on 30 Sept 2012

2 - Humble one-nite accommodation (Dorm of double bunk), else kalau nak tidur atas cement mcm dulu pun ok gak.

3 - Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner semasa disana.

4 - New n Old frendship get together ;-)

 

What's exclude;

 

1 - Any meals semasa perjalanan

2 - Minyak tuang n bayar sendiri

3 - Motor / kereta nak kena tunggang sendiri sebab khidmat chauffer tidak disediakan.

4 - Duit TOL kereta / Motor bayar sendiri.

 

What to bring;

 

1 - Cheerful, open n positive mind.

2 - Own towel n sabun n ubat gigi (jgn lupa berus gigi sekali).

3 - Sandals or booties (selipar jepun tak main).

 

What not to bring;

 

1 - Our Singaporean ego.

 

I will make deposit to them (the Rafting & the camp people) soon ... so stay tuned ... For now, enjoy your Hari Raya dulu, I will start collecting lepas raya nanti :-)

Ok maybe aku boleh share sikit email between me n the rafting operator. Hope this is ok with u guys.

 

They still highly recommend doing it at Sungai Selangor, sebab the rapid is better. Personally aku dah try masa wet & moderate season. Aku tak suka wet season sebab airnya terlalu tinggi & the fun of negotiating the batu2 is not there & the event of 8km tu pun abis cepat. Dry season pulak airnya ciput ajer, langsung tak fun.

 

Sebab itu the operator mencadangkan the nx best alternative is to do it at Slim river which is slightly a distance away from our camp, where we got to drive/ride on our own at the moring of the event.

 

Tentatively the program gonna be like this;

 

Tiba di KBS (Camp) sehari sebelumnya. Dinner di pekan yg berhampiran. Sarapan pd jam 8.30am esoknya sebelum rafting pd jam 9.30 atau 10am, lunch & mandi pd jam 2pm (kurang lebih), tidur sebentar (sebab pasti ngantuk) & memulakan perjalanan pulang pd jam 5pm. Arrived SGP abt 10pm. One way distance is abt 440km.

Kalau tukar ke Slim ada masalaah sikit sebab you kena tunggang motor ke Slim. Lepas rafting nanti boleh balik ke KBS lagi untuk tidur sekejap. Slim bolih mandi saja tetapi nak tidur tak ada tempat. Harap2 kita tak pindah ke Slim."

IMO, we stick to the ori plan bro. We cross the jembatan when cum to it. Not wise to 'give-up' at such early stage & settle for the lesser advanture's rapid bcos it can still be in our favour, infect it stands a gd chance; I never raft at Slim River before, despite being told something of similar sort as well last time. Lagi pun penginapan di Perak may not be as flexible as at KBS, where we can ask for very late check-out of abt 5-pm.

 

Kalau kat Perak we may need to pay mo for 'hotel-status-accom' & nak kena chk-out by 12-noon (masa kita tengah sibuk rafting). Dont think dorang ada 2-hr, 2-hr type of xtension, kan?

 

Thus I wld rather take the risk as part of the event-adventure ;-)
