yup its halal...

 

its quality goin downhill?...i dun tink so man...i just went ther a couple of weeks ago...they've got a really huge variety of "toppings" to go together with ur nasi lemak...their sambal SUPERB POWER!!!...

 

to me its kinda cheap also...i chose otah,egg,chicken patty and fish fillet...together with a canned drink i paid only $3.80...that's cheap n gd food to me... :thumb:

There's this Malay stall by the name Hussain Muslim Food at unit #01-55 located at the hawker centre just next to the old Hougang Interchange which sells delicious mee rebus for just $2. The mee rebus sauce is really shiok and the noodles are sprinkled with shrimp flakes. Most of the food sold there cost $2 like the nasi lemak, lontong, mee soto, etc. Really good food and value for money cos whenever I tapao from there, the helping is really generous... :thumb:

its halal...btw,its located somewhere in pasir panjang area for those who dunno...quite near to NUS...heard its one of the fav haunts for students,especially late at nite...den again,im sure everyone noes where it's located at...haha...:angel:

wah....this one i gotta agree...their nasi lemak packages are like macdonalds' meals only without drink...:cheeky:

 

but its a helluva delicious nasi lemak...:thumb:

 

but still,i think their sambal still loose to fong seng's...this is just my opinion la...cos i love my sambal hot n spicy...jus like my ladies...hehehe... :angel:

 

btw,has anyone tried their mutton chop?...the sauce is reali reddish like lipstick kinda colour and u can reali taste the spices that they use....wonderful sauce i must say...and the meat is also VERY TENDER!!!! :thumb:

As the variety of "toppings" starts to increase, the quality of the food just drop...

 

I've been a customer at the Pasir Panjang one for more than 5 years even before the prata shop was there... At least once a week I'll be there to tapao the nasi lemak for my night shift... After sometime, you can tell the difference... The drop in standard... Nowadays I seldom go there...

For nasi lemak, I like the nasi lemak sold at the Saujana food stall in Changi Village food centre. Value for money and delicious at $2... :slurp:

I tried one nasi lemak at changi village... think its 2.50 per set.... corner shop, first row.....

 

Didn't think it was fantastic despite the long queue..... but i half suspect that it is cos they are so damn slow in serving...

hehehe...yup. Its really a bit slow. But I find their nasi lemak

quite nice. Even the sambal.

hey, its hard to get $2 mee rebus, mee siam and all tat seh summore super nice..!

old hougang interchg is the kovan area ryte...

if im nt wrong the hawker centre is in frnt of heartland mall(kovan)..

mus go dere man!

when u think abt it, moz nasi lemak @changi v taste quite similar leh..

international, missy la..jus my $2..haha to add on, i've people seh tat they are using pelaris

dunno true anot..gt one uztaz say he saw one jin sit on top of the periuk nasi..

(jus stories ah, dunnoe true anot..) - any of u heard b4..other than recycled curry, which is a first for me..

 

 

btw, if im ard NUS during lunch time, i wun go to fong seng..

i rather head dwn to engine canteen, the 1st stall..well only 1 malay stall.

sells the best and cheap nasi campur man!!

quite a variety of lauk..

my fav - nasi + chicken wing + kang kong..$1.60 i think..

the sambal belacan is super pedas and yet sweet..

After you wait 30-45 min for your plate of nasi lemak, it better taste super fantastic to make it worth your time and effort.....

 

In my opinion, the food dun quite cut it... i queued cos my bro-in-law recommended it and the queue looked quite short, 4 persons ahead of me.... but i won't go queue again
