see my point is, if the rolling circumfrance was something absolute like the length around the whole wheel, wouldnt you have to place the sensors at absolute points too? so for those who placeed it on their disc brakes, which distance or circumfrance did you measure?

It actually does not matter as long as you get the rolling circum right. Say u enter the whole wheel circum as XYZmm, so no matter where u place the magnet, 1 pass/flux on the sensor is XYZmm right?

Found this on the trailtech webby. . . very accurate if you know the road distance.

The Sensor is not measuring length... it is measuring signals. You see, no matter where the magnet is placed on the wheel. it will take the same time to complete full rev which the sensor will pickup. counting these pulses in a define time, the sensor will be able feedback the speed.

Do remember to read the specs carefully when buying these Cyclometer, most can't measure speeds above 100km/hrs. only a handful can is capable.

if u see my badly done picture, if u calculate the rolling circumfrance? the magnet placed at 2 points on the spoke will cross the sensor a different number of times in 1 full rotation of the wheel.

thats what i dont understand >.

Things done so far:

Brand new rear suspension, new rubbers in carbs, serviced carbs, double bubble windscreen, voltmeter, Pilot Sport tyres, Did o ring + VAZ sprokets, front brake pump, gaskets + waterpump oil seal, Maxima CoolAid, 2nd hand rear hugger, 2nd hand front brake disc, Fizz Power brake pads front and back, 2nd hand front and back rims, Yusa battery, Reconditioned 2nd hand carbs by Planet, Front sticker number plate, front wheel bearings, new clutch plates, fortuna paintwork sponsored by spastic driver, Keitin tank pad.

Need sugar mommy for : Hel brake lines and top end overhaul.

It wouldn't. On your example, two magnets, each on a different position on the same spoke, they will cross the sensor exactly the same time, at the same number of rotation.

I thought your diagram is quite clear.

dear

all velo 8 user.

i used it before

pls go into the setting and see again

there is those preset and those that allow you to set your setting by the cm.

to set the setting,

do a marking on the tire or take the air valve as the mark

then do a mark on the floor.

then roll it until the valve touch the floor again, measure the distance again. for 3 time to get the average and that will be the measurement to input.

also u may buy the stronger and thicker wire to use, avaliable for cateye.

check with the more "brand" shop they will have it. also the wire is call heavy duty wire it come with the mount for the meter too.
