Bleeeh.

If a track is built but bikes aren't allowed, then that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Tell me you guys are joking!

I'm likely leaving Singapore before anything gets done, but still, I would have to object to a no-bikes track just on principle...

I totally agree with that!!! Lets hope the relevant authorities change their mind on that, if not, it is going to be the biggest joke of the New year in 2007 of bike history in Singapore !!!

track cannot allow bike is like road dun allow bike only for car and bus only. i dun think singapore is so stupid than allow car and not bike. maybe that a bus lane is on the track for bus only and not bike. Think about it so stupid!!!

Posted

let them see whether they profit more from bikes or from car....

i belive majority will be bikers that go to track , Constantly , cos once u invest in full-face , gloves , bla bla bla , u defiantly gonna go there offen.

anyway if for cars , when they go sepang and play track do they need to wear helmet??? just curious .

yea.. i heard driver and passenger both have to wear helmet.. not sure if full-face helmets are required for them though..

Still at Tuas, replacing the originally planned one? Or elsewhere?

Anyway, it's ridiculous that SMSA can sanction races in Kallang carpark, with all the trees and curbs around... putting up tyre walls and barriers, then declaring it suitable.

While a purpose-built racetrack suddenly bans bikes because of "safety factors".

It may be more a political decision than we know it.

Probably happened because the track is being financed by car lovers and they are selfish and don't want to share their precious track.

Hi guys, how much will it cost to built a track in Signapore?

Maybe 10 Million for one similar to PG.

I got a Pay it forward thinking of, if each biker contribute $1000, then we only need 10000 bikers to contribute to make this happen. Or For business minded people. per pax $10000, we need only 1000 pax to contribute.

Another 5 Million can get of SG local sponsors.

I am up for this how about you guys?

Total S$15 Million.

Brudder, your suggestion works well on paper, but a REAL track needs constant maintenance, and ppl to be marshallers, track directors, etc.....they need salary. This comes from where?

No point having a track successfully built because of 10,000 bikers/drivers who chipped in $$$ only to have the track rotten in a yrs time.

it is so not fair and frustrating to noe tat a track built right here in our homeland, yet we're not able to utilise... Maybe someone can ride around the track perimeters, butt naked on our bikes to pressure them..

Keep the rubber side down'

The Indonesian tycoon that is supposed to finance the track has decided to park his money somewhere, so the TRACK IS NOT GOING TO BE BUILT!

PG and Sepang, here I comes!

We're lucky we got a neighbour who allows bikes on their tracks. And with the exchange rates, a place to spend our money...
