Yep... when bike new, everything little scratch also heart pain.

Just like my Repsol CBR when I first got it... then I started going track and then it is what the hell with it. Enter the gravel a few times and paintwork kena hit by stones flung off other people's back wheel, in the end become numb.

Now put on black colour fibre glass race fairing, just spray clear lacquer over, put on stickers and that's it.

Now the bike has alot of pitting marks on the paintwork from constant track use. Looks very battle scarred.

ah so....haha

personally i discouraged high heels on bike cos not only it has the tendency to scratch paintwork but the exhaust too. anyway, why dun u try polishing to see if u can lighten the scratch mark?

but then again aft a while, u think arrrgh wat the heck hehe

__________

:offtopic: - this is something i always wanted to ask - is wet tissue or baby wipes safe on our paintwork? a couple of times kerna bird sh*t

http://www.emilystrange.com/aaaemily/myspace/adds/ICanSeeYouEmilyStrange.gif

I find water and tissue works best. Wet tissue contains alcohol, might not be good for the paintwork.

Anyways, I try not to keep too close to other bikes on the track, to prevent my paintwork from getting pitted, scratches and all that. But its difficult sometimes, people just overtake me and spray me with sand, tyre debris and all that :giddy:

Heart pain! :weep:

You're riding a Z1000 and you still hang the helmet behind when riding???

Do yourbike a favour man, get a helmet backpack! Much more secure than a helmet slingbag. :thumb:

Cover your bike lor.

Race fairing looks ugly leh. Doesn't make sense to keep swapping everytime I go touring or track anyways, so I think I'll settle for repainting the head fairing every now and then. :D
