Was on my way from AMK home at Yishun. Was at the traffic light beside the AMK MRT. there is this stupid indian guy(no offence to any the race of indians on the globe) who is riding a RXZ with a pillion. Stopped at the traffic light beside them. Than a Hayabusa stopped beside me. A civil servant in uniform. When the red light turns green my both sides the bike open trottle like there is no tomolo. Hayabusa just cut into my lane, NVM big cc can get away faster, this Indian guy also cut into my lane in attempt to chase the Hayabusa. Cannot win than wanna eat me. Slow down beside me and point point talk talk. Thinking of getting away from them i open trottle than they like rossi cut in and out of the lane in front of me. Kaoz. I am riding at 90 at a 70 road liao loh. Slow down they also slow down. OPen trottle, they also open. End up feeling pissed i just go my way till they tu lan than they sped off to die. Vehicles e braked when the RXZ swerve to their lane. Make me e brake also and when they at the traffic light just at the reservoir, they point point say my bike lousy. Kaoz. Looking at their bike, they din even maintain it loh. all black and dirty. Somemore they are riding a small cc bike loh. Haiz... Wanna eat big bike also think first mah. Than cannot win wanna eat me. I can win them anytime ok. Lucky is that i was brought up with the knowledge of safety on the road to ride another day. Grow up "wannabe racers", Go race in the track wanna die? Die alone dun bring others along

Maybe they watch too much motogp already.??? Thinking they are racers.??? Well they certainly can be racers if they don't act like a cat when the traffic police approach them. Saw some racers on road too, rideing like motogp but brake like hell when they saw traffic polices. Kaoz racers doesn't brake that much by the way.

Haha. But racing with a pillion is not call racing. It will be a competition on who will fly further when Buang. Worse is the pillion encourages the rider to eat me. Kaoz.

Safety First. Wanna die than pls go find a better way to die. Buang u will look gruesome. :cheeky:

oh ya forgot to mention that there were a few accidents on NSH on my way back cos it was raining heavily and one of the pile ups involved 3 or 4 sg cars on e exp lane....boy am i not surprised.... is such an embarassment come to think of it. these sg cars dun give way, speed up when they know tat u r over taking and changing lanes w/o care even on high speed.

There will always be racers wannabes on the roads...

There will always be relatively inexperienced riders who must prove the theory that "Too be old and wise, you must first be young and dumb".

There is always the Law of Natural selection in effect out there. Those who managed to survive their first few years of learning on the roads will live on. There will be those reckless ones who will be killed off.

A biker must understand that we do not have the right of way even though we have. With this locked in your head... you will tend to ride defensively and LIVE.

Normally those riders who insist they have the right of way are normally dead right.

PS - I went through a motorcycle safety course recently and the data states that 70% of motorcycle accidents happen at intersections simply because other vehicles do not give motorcyclists the right of way.

And 20% of motorcycle accidents are the result of the rider losing control of the machines in a corner.

Took an afternoon ride just now, still feel the cold going through the RS Taichi jacket. Time to look for something that has a thermal lining and can insulate from the wind.

Strange feeling to be riding when the air temperature is around 65 degrees F.

Like riding in an aircon room. Stranger still is the feeling of having a whole lane to yourself and cars do not squeeze you out. Also stopping directly behind cars at traffic lights and not squeezing in between cars to the front.

Got to get used to raising my left hand to give the other oncoming rider a wave when we pass each other, they do it all the time, dunno who nevermind, see biker must wave. At traffic lights small kids like to look and wave at you.

Suddenly feel like have to be so disciplined and friendly towards strangers. Strange but nice feeling.

what happen if u lane-split or go thru veh at red light , uncle raptor ?

will they kpkb at u? just wondering?

There are no bike parking slots here. Bikes are entitled to park in the middle of a car slot. They treat a bike just like another car... they give you the space.

Nobody squeezes to the front in between cars at traffic lights or weave in between cars while on the move. I just do in Rome what the Romans do.

Also considering the fact that it is legal for anyone aged 21 and above to carry a gun in this state...pissing anyone off on the road here is the last thing on my mind.

Perhaps that is why people are so polite on the road here. Nobody cuts you off, nobody horns at you. Such an act, like showing someone your middle finger may the last living thing you do.

Singapore should legalise guns. People won't be that quick to show their temper to others.

Went for a long ride today, first to a motorcycle accessories shop on the east side of town. Bought a DVD on motard racing called "Severe Supermoto". What I found impressive about the shop was the amount of accessories stocked.

What I really was impressed by was the amount of safety gear for kids of ages between 5 and 10 years old. I am talking about the suits for dirt bike riding, padding, boots, full face helmets and gloves for the younguns. No wonder America produces alot young racing talents, they start at such a young age.

When will Lim Ah Boy venture into this area?

By the way the shop, which has branches all over the USA is called CYCLE GEAR. Link is below. Take a look.

All ride safely , de raining season has arrived .... Heavy rain , den drizzle den stop for awhile den heavy rain again , den drizzle , den stop .... de cycle continues *tSk* time to buy ez link card liao

Yep yep, I also caught in the rain juz now... the journey from Bukit Merah back to Thomson totally drenched me.

However, I realised that after I change tires just now, the grip improved significantly! Can even do e-brake in the rain! Dunno whether is it due to my previous tires too worn out or is it due to this time round I changed to japanese tires.

Anyway, rainy season use your brakes sparingly and maintain safe distance, try not to rely on e-brake cos wet and dry very different *duh*
