just came home from seeing an accident at the X junction along b.batok ave 6 and ave 2 near blk 298b or sth..a phantom kena by taxi..seems phantom going forth and taxi turning right and hit phantom..the poor uncle on the floor complained hip hurts..no one turned up to be witness..too bad i didn't witness the whole thing or i'll help instead :/ got a malay guy who saw it but he left with the gf..sighs..tried to persuade him but well..no choice..

Have you guys ever encountered cars that start to speed up from behind as you get ready to move into their lane?

 

I did, and that particular mastard made my day sore.

Whilst entering the CTE from a jammed-up Braddell road, a driver of a Renault Megane sedan kept tailgating me along that whole long stretch of expressway entrance slip-road even if it was evident that the road ahead merges into one lane.

 

For those who have been on that entry slip-road before, the outer 2 lanes are for vehicles entering into the CTE and if you do not move out from those 2 lanes and into the expressway, it'll lead straight to the exit slip road to AMK Avenue 1.

 

CTE was equally as slow as the Braddell Road that I was once on. The Renault driver finally stopped tailgating me as he found a pocket of space between 2 slow trucks to enter the CTE. For me however, it took me around 15 seconds to find one. When the opportunity came, I turned on my right signal and looked into my right mirror. The driver of the Renault Megane was behind. Since the "pocket" was wide -- 2 to 3 car's length, I gradually filtered myself in.

 

That mustard, upon seeing that I was going to enter (else I have to exit the highway), sped up. But seeing that my maneuver wasn't going to get his car past me, he braked then tailgated me, and sounded his horn as though his hands were glued to the steering wheel hub.

 

Kancheong drivers engaging in road-rage-like behaviour need to be sent for counselling...

Repeat offenders, IMO, should be sentenced to life behind the doors of an MRT train or a bus' exit door, for that matter.

taxis and beamers and merz and female drivers r e worse lot. kerna fr 2 female drivers on e way bk home. once just had to butt her way to my front but i overtook and she had to stay behind me because i delibrately staying in e ctr of e lane.

another that just swung out fr behind a bus into my lane when i was coming causing me to take evasive action. i delibrately went in front of her and rode real slow braking and braking until she had to change lane then i swung into her lane and did e same thing she couldn't go anywhere. i gave up upon reaching traffic light cos i didn't want to miss e green light.

it's ok to make mistakes but i expect an apology which is extremely rare here in sg and worse still these blur fish doesn't even know wat they did wrong and tat's e most infuriating bit. sheesh!

while riding home today morning at 7am , was waiting at a junction of Benoi Sector and Benoi Rd to make a right turn, saw an incoming bus (PA 6754Z) signalling to turn right into my rd ( benoi sector) .... stopped at the stop line to let the bus complete the turn before moving off.

 

wat happened was classic ..... i saw the driver talking on his handphone with one hand and the other hand steering to make the turn ... saw the bus took it's lining and it's direction was coming towards ....... ME !!!!!!!

 

less than 20 metres away ... jumped off the bike , dived to the left towards the kerb .. managed to turn around and saw my X1 being hit head-on and dragged for about 50m .......

... but seriously, i was like in disbelief when i saw the bus speeding towards me .... knn ... like as if it was a dream sia ...

he had came down from the bus as soon as possible and apologised profusely and wanting to settle the matter privately. my repairs came up to nearly $1K. if he don't wanna pay up ... i'll lodge a accident and a summons report.
