When I go into JB... I am amazed at the way the bike riders flout the traffic rules over there.

Many of them do not obey the traffic lights at all. Have seen many of them ignore the red lights and simply ride off across the junction before the lights have turned green.

So I riding against traffic is no big deal to them. Shocking to us maybe but no biggie to them.

Someone brought my baby down.

Parked behind an MPV (Picnic) on the roadside to buy something from coffeeshop for lunch.. when someone told me my bike dropped.

Turn around to see this guy trying to lift my bike up. After I got my bike up.. saw that the brake lever was broken off, the front right signal was dismounted, 3 big cracks on the mid-fairing, 2 cracks and deep scratch marks on the upper right fairing, scratches on the lower right fairing and scatches and cracks on the tail cowling.

The guy had reversed his MPV into my bike. At first he offered to pay cash but I told him fairings are not cheap... and that we are probably looking at at least $2.5k worth of damage there. So we filled up the accident insurance reports and my friend rushed down to Boon Siew and got me another brake lever. As for me... I rode the bike to IDAC and filed a report.

Later the guy called me and paid me for the brake lever. He then told me to make a claim against his insurance for the damages to my bike.

Luckily for me the bike is still rideable ( hmmm even did 210 kmh at 2nd Link after going to Marbella Pub and Bistro for T-bone steak dinner last night).

Now I got to ride the bike around like that for the next one month till they get the parts in. Lucky for me it is just clean cracks on the fairings which can only be seen up close. Looks like I will have to do some temporary fibreglass repair behind the fairing to strengthen it and prevent the cracks from propagating.

Time to go hardware store and buy the fibreglass repair kit.

Initially I was very upset... but managed to calm myself down very fast (much to my own amazement!! I MUST be getting old!!).

I can accept damages to my bike due to my own errors but somehow when it is the fault of someone else.. I get very upset because of my own ass luck.

Yeah.. like what you say... there have been times before with my other bikes... people knock your bike down and run away leaving you to bear full cost.

This guy could not run away quietly coz the whole coffeeshop was looking at him struggling to pick up my bike.

Looking at the whole thing in hindsight... dunno whether to consider myself lucky or unlucky. Sighs.

Bottomline is.... somebody hurt my baby.

The guy's insurance company is going to have to pay for the replacement parts.

I ain't doing no respray job on this. Alot of it are stickers applied to the fairing. The Repsol word is a sticker. The red colour is a sticker, what is not a sticker is the base colour, ie the dark yellow.

The last time when I was riding a CBR929, some idiotic taxi driver decided to make a last minute turn without warning causing me to crash into the front of the taxi and with me landing up in hospital for stitches to my right thigh.

The repair on that one, coz the driver was in the wrong, cost close to $7000. What was scratched was changed. Fairings, headlamp cowling, both front and back rims and exhaust pipe.

When the TP sent me the final finding, charging the taxidriver for inconsiderate driving.. I took the letter and went to see his insurance company. Told them I want them to pay for my damages and my injury and loss of transport. They paid me $10,000 straight away, coz they were afraid I took them to court. With that TP letter on my side... they already lost the case.

Anyway, Tuesday I will be sending the bike down in the afternoon to Boon Siew for them to assess what needs to be changed and bill the guy's insurance company.

Lucky for me... the scratches are not so bad and the cracks although there are quite hard to notice unlesss you looked closely. I will still be going to the track, life goes on, and will probably do a fibreglass repair on my own on the back of the fairing to stop the cracks from propagating.

It may take up to a month for the replacement parts to come in.

hmm even though, will take some time to fix things up but thk goodness only cosmetic type of damages.

and yes b careful of taxis, so many incidences, they shd be given more severe penalty cos i think taxi companies mainly only issue warning letters i think

TAXI TAXI... TAXI again...

I was about to exit CTE to Upper serangoon road. Here come this TIPS TAXI. Driving slowly bout 60-70km/h on the last lane. Notice him bout 30m infront of me cos he got his signal on for quite sometime. think he wanted to change his lane to my lane which is second last lane. But no... theres no car infront of me... n yet he don wanna change lane. Thinking maybe must be forgetting to put off his signal la.

OK... i continue with my speed bout 100km/h. As im approaching him... jus beside his back passenger's door [right side] he decided to change lane...

Horn n horn n horn... he didnt bother to dodge back into his lane. Driving his TAXI on both last n second last lane.

WASSUP TAXI drivers??? wat the heck u guys doing ar?

Yesterday my friends and I wanted to have some beers and watch the F1 race, so we went down to Pitstop. As usual it was close.. so sometimes why they have a name that is related to the motor racing world and yet is not opened for live telecast of F1 but instead make a big issue of soccer is something I cannot comprehend.

Maybe Pitstop is not the name for this place... should be called the Changing Room or Locker Room!!!

So we rushed off to another place...Selegie 100 at Short Street. After we have settled down with beers for the race, along comes a Porsche convertible 912.

Looked like it as a family outing... husband, wife and 2 young daughters.

Wife quite chio and sexy... husband face like the rear end of a horse. Not only that... short and pudgy too. Girl friend who was with us commented... if not for his money... she would have disappeared long ago.

I told her, she being rather young and naive, that women are basically smarter than men. She married him for a secure future.

A woman will never marry a man just because of his looks only, but a man will not hesitate to marry an air head with big tits good looks.

And mostly all the rich men are ugly. It has to be this way, God is indeed fair.. or else there will be alot of unmarried ugly men in Singapore. What kind of rape statistics will we have??

Mebbe that is why up till today I am still struggling to earn my money.Wahahhahahah!!!
