other cases such as both traffic direction is green, which i believe it rarely or never should happen, den i juz prepare to fly.. :D

7 Weeks ago, a colleague of mine was hit by a car, and my colleague got the right of way in a traffic junction. As my fren was behind a car, the opposite car making a right claims he could not see my fren. Yeah right.....my fren's bike was bright yellow with a bright yellow box......

That driver was a motherfcuker who is rushing for time as he tried to dash the traffic lights. However that car had to jam brake when horked by the car infront of my fren. After the car crossed the junction, apparently the MFking car driver just floor his acceration pedal, hitting my fren from the side.

My fren was using a flipup FF, and he still suffer injuries on his face......

Why I know 7 weeks ago??? Cuz he was discharged last week, and he was bed ridden for 6 weeks, suffering injuries to his leg and his pelvic, requiring surgery.

Is this sh|t big enuff??? I hope we all can have a good riding experience by not meeting such badass on the rd......

What amazes me is sometimes I see female pillions on big bikes wearing open faced helmets whilst the rider wears a full face. Don't understand the logic.

Either the girl don't give a hoot about protecting her face or the guy is really selfish.

Imagine if they were to be involved in an accident and the girl suffers mutilations to her pretty face and loses all her pretty front teeth simply because she is wearing an opened face helmet and the gets away with his face intact. Chivalry is dead.

If my pillion don't want a to put on a full face because it is hot, troublesome, heavy or whatever stupid reasons she may have..... she can take the MRT.

I ain't gonna live the rest of my life with the conscience of knowing that I caused someone to become a spinster for life becoz of a mutilated face.

agree..

sometimes i wonder too..

maybe they have trust in their riding skills..

but my fren told me maybe they just spend too much money on their big bikes and no more left for proper gears..

Heard a cruiser bypassing me on the way home.

Not the engine sound nor the pipe that attract me.

On closer look, it's the chain.

It was so bloody loose that kids can jump zero point on it!

Chain was rattling, jumping up and down as it goes over the rear sprocket.

Amazing rider! where's the sense of ownership, responsibility and safety?

They can spend most of their money on their big bikes... so no more left for gears? In the first place, where he got the money to install those EXPENSIVE accesories n stuffs like that? By saving up rite...? why cant save up for gears? Bo chap lo... or selfish lo.

but then, i'm still lucky not to get into any major accidents at all..

I rode for 24 years without an accident.

And then in 2001, someone decided to make an illegal turn when I was overtaking.

Hit the brakes so hard... I did an endo on my 929 which sent me over the bike and crashing to the ground. Broke my right collarbone. I impacted the road so hard face first the visor broke to and the chin guard of my Shoei was cracked. One Shoei full face destroyed, but I still kept my handsome face and charming smile.

In 2004, a taxi decided to make an illegal rigth turn into a side road... I impacted the front left side of the taxi... put a 6 inch by 2 inch deep cut on my right thigh and also destroyed my full face. The whole chin guard was grounded half way down. Could have been my jaw. One $680 Arai full face destroyed, the handsome face was still there and so was the charming smile. Priceless.

Yeah you can ride safe and you can ride defensive. And you can put all the talismans and lucky charms on your bike.

The point here is.... there are other dangerous b+stards out there who will create helpless situations for you. Situations where your superfast reactions and dangling lucky charms ain't worth a rats ass. At times like these whereby impact is inevitable, the value of wearing maximum personal protection will come into its own and you will be glad you did. Just like me.

Hell, it is like life insurance. You think it is a pain when you don't need it.

Was walking in the light rain towards the coffeeshop for breakfast.

Saw this girl on a Phantom, overtaking a taxi whilst taking a right bend. Crossed the double white lines even. Wearing an openfaced helmet and just a sweater for protection.

What is she thinking??? Riding so recklessly with an open faced helmet. All it takes is for her tyres to slip on the white lines and she will smack her face on the road and be a spinster for life.

I fear white lines when even when they are dry, no need to talk about white lines when rain is falling.

I normally put on top of the range tyres on my bikes simply becauze my life is riding on them. Just wonder what kind of 'wet weather' tyres do they fit on Phantoms??

In this instance.... ignorance is truly bliss.

:faint: Prince Charming eh...... :D

Seriously, you are just darn right.......a scarred face ain't cool. It only looks cool in comics........

I fell face down twice....first on a Nova o_O and the visor broke, but luckily did not cut my face.....2nd time on my HJC FF and the helmet took the toll.

In between a fall in PG but chin area hit the ground cuz it's a low side......the HJC FF took that toll too..... Heng ar.....

travelling on PIE just now about 9pm after Eunos exit. i was on the 1st lane as i was overtaking but couldn't overtake successfully as the traffic condition worsen (lane 2 full house)... kept 2 or 3 car lengths from the car in front.

i have a habit of checking my mirrors in case someone decides to tailgate me, and when i did so, i could see the face of the taxi driver behind me quite clearly... wonderful~...

becos i couldn't lane change (travelling at 90km/h, traffic very packed), there was nothing i could do but tapping my brake handle to warn with my brakelights to get him to back off...

but he wouldn't, and if i slow down just a bit, he would have hit the rear of my bike. i tried again and again, tapping my brake handle to signal to him to back off... still wouldn't...

now i'm really sweating cos i'm not alone, i pilloned a fren. And he did the thing to stun me most next, he overtook me from the RIGHT on a flyover (a little more space on the 1st lane, like a mini road shoulder on the right side of the flyover). After he did tat, he still got stuck in front of me and tailgated the car in front again.

Where was he rushing to? i really didn't understand. Y can't he be more patient? the stun he pulled really did nothing to speed him up and yet he still did it to put lives in danger~

i kept thinking, maybe taxi drivers really get the notion tat killing riders will just cost them 4 years in jail~ great~ really b@stards...

I also encounter a lots of such incident.

Not long ago, while traveling at PIE the traffic condition was real bad, all lane was seriously jam, all rider as usual was traveling between car, then got this young malay male rider trying to overtake all bike while also traveling between car. Look like he is really in a rush. Maybe rushing to cancel his NKF monthly donation....

Was coming back from PG after the Track Day.

Saw 3 Singapore bikes travelling at more than 100KMH go past me, squeezing in between vehicles even though the traffic was very light.

Just to ride in their group of three, one guy on the scrambler even risked it and overtook a van on the left side, and almost had to run on the gravel at the side of the road!!!!! :faint:

At that speed, he runs on the gravel, he is going down and its going to be ugly coz he was just dressed in a T-shirt.

One wonders at the working mechanisms of some minds.

Just before Gelang Patah, saw a Malaysian police jeep parked on the side and 2 cops preparing to set up their money making shop. One had a file which will not be filled up and the other a red flag used for stopping Singapore registered cars and bikes.

And after leaving the Singapore checkpoint and travelling on AYE, stupid BMW parked after the tunnel at the side, Raffles Country Club, one cop pointing the speed camera at me. I just glared at him as I rode past.

Didn't bother me coz I was travelling at about 80 KMH coz I was busy scratching my itchy butt through my one piece leathers. Not an easy task. Trust me, not with gloves on. :faint:
