And to all others who think they ride like that because they like to. Please do not think like that.

We go there to test our max speeds on our bikes and cars too. It's their culture. They have been doing that since they started riding. And i thought many of y'll been over there for fuel. You should have known, this is the way they ride.

while personally i think both parties in the story are wrong to their own individual extents, lets not make the mistake of trying to find ways of justifying unsafe riding practices, be it here or there. some aspects of 'cultural differences' which pose no safety risk or such, clearly require some degree of understanding and acceptance. but no 'cultural' practice which results in unsafe habits should ever be considered a valid excuse.

local drivers/riders who cross over to 'test machines' on public roads are similarly in the wrong, because we cant justify such activities as 'our culture'.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

the rex can easily win u over any fast corner n also eat u be it pickup or top end..

I guess the driver of the rex hav not start playing u or simply dun wanna play along on a road wif traffic....or if not the driver simply cant drive dat car well

I myself also ride a small bike at times I c these powerful machines ard me I will let them go coz 1st I cant win them anyway unless I squeeze thru some traffic n be in front of them n u dun feel good coz itz abit like cheating urself dat ur actually faster than the machine or better than the driver inside next is nowadays so many crazy young boys r driving powerful cars like the evos n rex so little experience I fear dat once they start playing along wif u, either they cant control n buang themselves or they will buang u together...n in the end they juz pay for the damages on the car but our bodies will be in pain..

pls read the first post, n re-read my post again...

Sorry if I got a few of your knickers twisted in knots over the way I ride and behave on the road.

Hindsight is 20/20. When things are over... we can all pass comments and sing song.

Everytime some one meets with a bike accident... every one will say that bikes are dangerous... and we should drive a car. Car is metal wrap body and not the other way around unlike bikes.

In the end...the one telling you that bikes are dangerous is not gonna buy you a car. You see, in the end it is your own problem. How I ride my bike.. in the end is gonna be my own problem. If I should get killed or should I be booked by a TP... its gonna be my problem. Those saying that I should not do this or do that ain't gonna pay for me. What I am trying to say is.... when things go wrong, you are inevitably on your own. Sad fact of life.

Opinions are like assholes... everyone has one. Some stink and some don't. And anyway. that is what a forum is for. There will always be 2 schools of thought.

Anyway... if any bike does the same thing to me again... I will again kindly oblige in returning the same treatment. I can't help it and I am very sorry because since young, I have been taught never to take sh*t from anyone.

And I don't have to teach the young ones of today how to do this... alot of them have learn it on their own. I have seen enough of their antics in my time.

How much sh*t they are willing to take before retaliating differs from individual to individual.

Jus now when im coming back home by SLE~CTE, encounter big jammed. Well lucky for us bikers cos we can jus use the "middle lane" between cars.

I was following behind a uncle wave n bout 4-5 bikes infront of me... we are going real slow... suddenly saw the first bike kept left n get into Q with the cars so as to let the followers behind proceed. :cheer: for tat uncle. n the 2 younger rider rode their way thru n left the wave uncle blocking me which i guess he knows it too though i didnt tailgate him.

After bout a min... the wave uncle keep left n get into the car Q too. N so i rode pass him n tot tat he wanna filter out to ang mo kio. I look at my mirror n found him following me behind. So he was actually making way for me. :cheer: for tat uncle too.

What skills??

I wasn't talking about riding skills. Please read my post carefully and try and understand before shooting away.

You either do not understand what I posted or you are trying to start a flaming war, an exercise which I will not get involved in. Too old for that and I respect your way of thinking.

If anything was said... it was about my riding attitude which is just about the same as my attitude towards life......... I don't take sh*t from anyone.

So relax brother... I got no powerful skills and I won't win any awards from Andy.

Some people are just plain evil. Not only do they provoke you, they set a bait for you. They provoke you all the way, and suddenly feign error so you can overtake them, when you do, there's a huge ditch mid corner.

This trap could counteract some of our philosophy.

Sometimes it's best to sit back and let karma take care of them.

This squid, you served him an instant karma.

I believe in the law of accumulated retribution.

What goes around, comes around.

I don't go around provoking people, am not that antagonistic. I believe in myself and my own capability and strongly in the philosophy of live and let live. Life is too short for making enemies, that can be done in an instant. It takes time and trust to make a friend.

Being a peace loving guy does not necessary mean I am a pushover. Unfortunately in this world today... there are alot of people who will take your patience and kindness as a weakness to be exploited.

Please do not have the misconception that I am a mean person, it is just that I am a very obliging person, if people are nice to me... I try to be nicer in return. If people are not nice... I try to be not nice also.

This morning I went to LAB at Kelantan Lane to buy an oil filter for my bike.

Putoline filter - $7. Original Honda filter - $12.

I decided on the Honda filter since I need to go 10,000km before I change it out.

That was not the highlight of the morning.

When I reached there, I put a parking coupon on my bike.

After buying the filter... I went to the coffeeshop on the opposite side to eat and have a coffee and basically people watch.

All was peaceful and everybody was going about their business. Suddenly, a car park auntie appeared. The coffee shop shouted 'Car park!!' and all hell broke loose. Half the coffeeshop stood up and rushed to their bikes. Some started and rode off, some took out their parking coupons and pretended to write their bike numbers and some just sit on their bikes pretending to be like they are about to move off. All staring at the carpark auntie.

She stood at one end... the rest on the other... both sides staring at each other. Talk about a Mexican stand off. I thought I was watching an old Western movie.

I thought one side will flinch and its either they tear their coupons in time or she key in their bike numbers!!! Talk about the Good, the Bad and the Ugly!!

Life suddenly became so stressful because of 60 cents.

And some of the bikes there cost at least $10k, and yet the owners were willing to stand in the sun with their bikes just to save 60 cents. Not even a cup of coffee!!!

Wamt to cheat... cheat lah at least $6000, not 60 cents. What's the point of being called a cheap thief?? Cheat 60 cents or $6000, you are still called a thief.

Mebbe there is something that I do not know about. Some secret thrills to be gained. Hw much kick can you get out of saving 60 cents???

Can anyone enlighten me??

Some might be buying things, taking lunch, waiting for friends.

So not worth it to put a coupon for minutes of parking.

I will normally not put a coupon for less than an hour of parking.

I will always leave if there are wardens coming, not play acting in front of them.
