At North Bridge Rd. I was about 35 metre behind this S4 gray

color FP plate in the slow lane. Car beside S4 make a sudden left turn

into Bali Lane. Saw the S4 hitting the car and rider thrown into side walk.

his right elbow swollen with blood. Another driver a man also stop.

Rider told us he dont wish to go hospital.

Driver that involved in this accident a lady say to rider's "why you ride like that ? before rider could answer I told her, " I am behind your car, I saw everything, you make a sudden left turn" The other driver told her the same thing.

Crowd gather and since rider is not badly injured I give him my name and bike number. That man gave him his name card and both of us left scene.

TODAY WHILE RIDING

The rider must make a police report. And you must step forward to be the witness.

Not for just claiming the lady driver's insurance for bike damages but more to have it documented and archived, just in case in the future physical complications arise out of the injuries he can still sue for compensation.

Also if if this does become a police case.. your testimony and willingness to stand as a witness will help him win the case which will result in the woman driver being slapped with the charges traffic violation. Or else the poor rider will also be slapped with the charges of 'Failing to maintain a proper lookout while operating a vehicle". I kena that before!!

A few years ago I was involved in an accident with a taxi that made a turn without signal. I had a witness. The TP sent me a letter a few months later saying that they have charged the driver with inconsiderate driving and the letter was for my information only.

When I showed the letter to the taxidriver's insurance company... they paid for my bike repair , hospitalisation bills plus another $3k for the scarring I had due a 6 inch long deep cut I had on my thigh. The insurance guy told me that if I had broken my leg they would have given me $5 k!!

Initially before I had the TP letter in my hand... they were calling me up and ONLY offering to pay for the bike repairs only.

TODAY WHILE RIDING

I REALLY HATE DRIVERS WHO MADE MISTAKES, BUT START BLAMING OTHERS!!!!

When one points at another, remember, three fingers are pointing at oneself.

Cheers to you for stepping out to help the injured rider, as most likely, he's still in a daze and could not defend himself effectively against the women's wagging tongue. If not for you, this morally incorrect lady driver might even have got away with her sin.

Many cases are turn around because of the absence of witness. The case could easily became "my words verses your words" unless there's very obvious evidences. Again, good for you and the other driver who are willing to stand up as witness, instead of taking down number plate hoping for some windfall, or rushing to meet friends with some 1st hand encounter coffee chat. :thumb:

You have my respect.

I hope to get my AFAM on Wed. I ordered the carrier thingy and sprocket.....hope to get a PG session under my pants before I fly for Thailand.

Er....would I qualify for an introductory lesson too :cheeky: I might as well get some guidelines too, on entry lines and some braking points.

Tomorrow I'll be pumping N2 into my tyres, since my tyres for street/track same same pressure (Continental said so, and insisted so). Of course my commuting bike will be the next to be treated with N2 in her tyres.

Hmm.. This morning on my way to bbdc, at the Left turn T junction to bbdc, this bus i am bus happens to knock into a uncle who haven't finish crossing the road. The poor uncle was like only 2 metres away from the pathway only and the bus driver can't wait mehz? Luckily the uncle's reflects fast enough to jump onto the curb. Or else will see the uncle become road kill le. After i alighted from the bus, took down the bus plate number and take down the time it happened. Walk back to the junction and doesn't seem to see the uncle walking my way so bo bian, faster run back to bbdc for my RR and RC sessions.

Now my main concern is whether the uncle ok not. Is he hurt or what i had totally no idea. Do you guys think that i should make a report to smrt? As in to help that uncle as a eye witness or maybe file a report against the driver for reckless driving/near killing someone.

and what will this equate to........

More buyers expected at car showrooms due to low COE prices

By Jason Tan, Channel NewsAsia

SINGAPORE : Wednesday saw Certificate of Entitlement (COE) prices for cars hitting an all-time low since 1991, and it seems that Singaporeans are jumping at the opportunity to get a new car.

The latest bidding exercise saw car COE prices falling past the $10,000 mark. The COE for cars 1600cc and below is only $8,009.

With the COE prices on a downward trend, car showrooms are reporting more than their usual number of visitors - to view as well as purchase a car.

Some are even catering to the weekend crowd by extending their office hours.

Mr William Low, Director of Sales at Borneo Motors, said it was a good time to buy a new car with such low COEs.

He expects a bigger crowd over the weekend, saying the company intends to extend their opening hours until 10pm for this Saturday and Sunday.

To many Singaporeans, this is the best time to buy a car, and most agree that the low COE prices affected their decision.

"Yes, now I think the COE is quite low, it is worth going in now. I think this COE is quite comfortable for me."

"Definitely, it would affect us in making the decision."

"I was looking for a car for a while and now that the COE prices have come down and it is within our budget, that is one of the main reasons for looking for a car now." - CNA/de

Just now at eunos, there is this rider..damn boliao. I was riding in the lane behind a car but decided to squeeze between cars cause it's red light and all the cars r stopping liao. Then saw this guy in my mirror, he is already squeezing in between the cars, so I let him go first. But he slow down (nearly stop) beside me. So I thought..ok..mayb he wants mi to go first (who noes gentleman mah). So I go lor. Who knows this idiot..tailgate me.

I was thinking...'wah liaoz..u let me go first just to tailgate me ah'. As my box is slightly longer than my handlebar, sometimes I dun really dare to squeeze..unless I am v confident I can squeeze thru. So when the lights turn green, I went to q behind a car and let him go first. He did and I follow behind him.

Then when we reach the traffic light (red again), he and his stupid pillion turn around look at me and laugh. And when the light turns green, he fully open his throttle and speed off. What's so farnie man?? and what r you trying to prove?

Really dun understand... o_O

I don't get mad... I just get even.

I guess I must have mellowed over the years. I don't get upset easily on the road anymore. For that matter... I don't get upset anymore. I find that it is not worth it. No one is worth raising my blood pressure... unless they are people I love.

But the sad part is... when you love someone, you give them the power to hurt you.

Hmmm...sorry ah...I very off topic leh.

Lunch time walking to hawker centre eat lunch at kallang bahru, halfway a female driver knock down a rider from behind. Road no vehicle, she sit inside her car for quite sometimes (maybe wanna hit and run) until she saw me stare at her then she slowly come out. I'm at the other side of the road, middle got high fence, quite hard to climb over to help the rider that was still lying on the road. Lucky soon got many car stop and help.
